Travis from Colorblind. Dude. It's great to be here, man. Oh Man, great to have you. Thanks for coming to prison. Yeah, that's right, baby, love it, dude. Oh Man. And so we were talking before about Danny Wimmer and how they treat you guys, and being at this is your first Danny Wimmer festival. Yeah, it's our very first one man, and I swear they just like treat us like royalty.

0:45 Man. There's catering, there's breakfast, lunch, dinner, or we have a nice air conditioned artist area like bro, it's just amazing and like, we just fucking love being here. You expect that when you first were coming here or you, I. Mean, you hear great things, but whenever you get it, you're like, oh shit, this is awesome. So not necessarily expecting it, but I mean having it is just incredible. Yeah, And man, you guys killed it out there today. I sent one of my helpers out there because I was doing to interview, and she said, like, you blew everybody away. What does that feel like first thing in the morning at a festival and they're out there fucking going ape shit for you?

1:27 It's weird. It's just a crazy, crazy feeling. I mean, we're still a much smaller band, and so like if we're coming to a festival and I'm seeing people sing lyrics that I wrote in my mom's living room, like, it just feels shrip, it's incredible. And the energy today. Was incredible, despite how early it was in the day, and I was a little worried, like about my voice, just because in the morning it takes a minute for my vocals to warm up. But I got up real early and did all my routines and we were feeling good and we were just man, the energy was just so high, and we were feeling that from the crowd, and that just translates to us, you know, like the energy from the crowd just makes us want to go even harder if they're loving it too. So it was just this beautiful exchange of energy and we were just so grateful.

2:17 And you know what, I can tell, you're still high off the energy, right, Yeah, Like it's gonna be like all day, you're like floating in a cloud, right, yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah, I gotta tell you too. Merch is very important for a band. People don't realize that that's how you get from show to show. I fucking love your pac Man T shirt. Oh thanks Man. As cool as shit. Yeah, so thanks. People have to check out your merch because it's like unique. Oh thank you. I would totally wear that shirt and so should all my listeners or they can't listen to my show anymore. Yeah yeah, oh fuck yeah, well yeah, no, we're stoked. We really tried to have kind of unique merch designs and it's something that we have fun working on, So we're stoked. We try to put a lot into that and put a lot of thought into it. And it seems to appreciate you saying that how.

3:07 People get to your merch, in to your socials and all that to connect with you and buy your merch, check out tour dates and all that. So we have our merch on our website at colorblind tx dot com. We drop a lot of like the leftover merch on the website, like the leftover merch from tour, so the leftover sizes and things like that we have on our website. Here at this festival, it's at the merch stand that's by main stage. The main stage is called the Yard, so we're over there, and man, after every single color Blind show, we are hanging out at our merch booth and meeting every single one of our fans, because that is just like the point of doing this, getting to meet the people that give us this opportunity to be here, and so like we really really take pride and being there, and we love just spending as much time as we possibly can with those people over at the merch table.

3:57 So I love your attitude, cuz every band has an attitude, and that is what it all. It's all about connecting with the fans and creating a community. Yeah, man. And it's just hearing people's stories and hearing how certain songs that we have helped them through a hard time in their life or grieve a loved one. It's like all I could ever ask for is, like, you know, writing something if it can like help somebody going through a hard time is just like that's all an artist could ever asked for when making something. And so I'm just so fucking. Grateful that people share those stories with us, are willing to come up and talk about it. That's what it's all about.

4:37 We're all community, we're all family, and I just love how you embrace that so much. And therapy. You're talking about therapy like music's graves therapy ever for you, the artists and for us to fan. So I think as an artist, probably it's the best feeling when you helped somebody out, even if they took something different from your song than you meant from it. Yeah, that's one thing too, is like you know, whenever I'm writing, I kind of like leaving the song. I write it for what it's about for me, but I also like leaving lyrically it open enough for interpretation for the listener to relate it to their lives, because a lot of the time, it's like, it's not about what I'm writing the song about, it's what you think it's about.

5:24 It's how you relate it to your life. That's how that song is special to you listening it and to it so man like, it's just awesome to me. That's the key to a good songwriter, where it's they're telling their story, but it also has that kind of vibe where somebody gets a whole different meaning now and implies to them. So when you're a songwriter, that makes that happen. To me, that's the pinnacle of songwriting. Yeah, man, Just always trying to get better, always trying to learn, and trying to be in the room with people that are better than me and listening and just creating and having fun. Dude. And I'm really happy too that our world right now is pretty not perfect. Yeah, it's fucked and yeah, totally.

6:12 So you're doing this end of the Perfect World tour. I think it's so fucking appropriate. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's Catch Your Breath's name for this tour and yeah, so yeah, just to clarify, also, we just got off the road. With Day Seeker. We're playing Incarceration, and now we're routing home with Catch Your Breath, which is the End of the Perfect World tour, right Yeah, And dude, funny thing about Catch your Breath is colorblind and Catch your Breath we both came out of the same local scene in Austin, Texas. Like, that's so cool. We played local shows together in front of like ten people, and now we get to tour the like America and play in front of like these giant crowds and like so like the green room backstage before shows, like the energy is just so high because we've known each other.

6:56 For years, best friends. Yeah, and so it just feels we're all just back there, like what the what's happening? Right, you know what I mean? And so it's just so we're just so cool. It's so cool, man. It's cool when you can be on tour with friends but also that are experiencing the same things as you. It's like you're on the same page. Yeah, exactly, exactly. What else do you want the listeners to know that we haven't covered array, Well, of course we want to talk about You just dropped an EP recently, so talk about that. And anything else that's going on. Twenty twenty five. Yeah, So he just released a double single. It's called let Down and Israel Love's Company. It's two songs, and we have an album coming. It's our first ever album.

7:39 We're gonna release it in two parts. So part one is called who Sold You This Truth, and that's gonna be coming out in the fall of this year. And the second part of the album, which I. Guess I'll keep a secret of the name that's gonna be released in the spring. But we just announced a tour with Bless the Fall, Miss may I, Dark Divine, and we're gonna be on the road with those dudes in the fall, and we're so freaking stoked, and yeah, just keep your eyes peeled. We have like a bajillion new songs coming out and we're just so excited to have people hear them. Well, I fucking love it.
