The Pipeman Radio tour landed at The UK’s biggest independent metal festival featuring not only some of the biggest bands in Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, but also some of the best emerging metal music out of the UK and Europe competing in Metal 2 The Masses for a spot to play on New Blood Stage. 00:00:39.320 --> 00:00:40.960
Yes, one hundred percent. I'll get to hide.

13
00:00:41.320 --> 00:00:45.640
Yeah, no doubt. So is this your first time at Bloodstock?

14
00:00:45.840 --> 00:00:48.719
So I was here twenty sixteen volunteering for teenage kinds

15
00:00:48.719 --> 00:00:50.159
of Trust and happening that with the Truant.

16
00:00:50.240 --> 00:00:52.920
So we're cycling here next year as well. Like list

17
00:00:52.960 --> 00:00:53.640
your Bloodstock.

18
00:00:53.880 --> 00:00:56.640
It's the most wonderful, best of all, Like everybody just

19
00:00:56.679 --> 00:00:59.159
looks after each Everyone wants to go see the new

20
00:00:59.200 --> 00:01:02.000
blood bands, the most important stage of the whole festival.

21
00:01:02.159 --> 00:01:05.280
New blood everyone's there. Well as you got your headliners,

22
00:01:05.319 --> 00:01:06.000
everyone does it.

23
00:01:06.159 --> 00:01:06.359
Yeah.

24
00:01:06.640 --> 00:01:08.640
The fact that everyone supports those bands.

25
00:01:08.439 --> 00:01:12.120
That are smaller like it's it's incredible, just fork.

26
00:01:12.040 --> 00:01:15.760
Like a road to success for unsigned man's Yeah, well

27
00:01:15.760 --> 00:01:17.959
what an opportunity, What a chance to get your name

28
00:01:17.959 --> 00:01:19.599
out there, to get people listening to here, and.

29
00:01:19.719 --> 00:01:22.159
We're blessed and as well as seenior heroes as well,

30
00:01:22.480 --> 00:01:23.879
like machine Head last night.

31
00:01:24.000 --> 00:01:25.640
Oh my god, were you in the pit?

32
00:01:25.920 --> 00:01:27.680
I was in the pit fair play.

33
00:01:27.920 --> 00:01:30.159
We were far away from the pit, but we were.

34
00:01:30.599 --> 00:01:32.879
We were admiring the pit. It's incredible.

35
00:01:32.920 --> 00:01:33.760
Here's what's funny.

36
00:01:33.840 --> 00:01:37.120
As I was with some other people way in the back,

37
00:01:37.640 --> 00:01:41.319
and as soon as the first note came on Imperium,

38
00:01:41.719 --> 00:01:45.079
I was like, and they were right there after I

39
00:01:45.159 --> 00:01:47.239
caught up when they're like, yeah, we saw you just

40
00:01:47.439 --> 00:01:49.239
dodge and disappear into the crowd.

41
00:01:49.959 --> 00:01:51.519
All want it on my phone. I'm gone.

42
00:01:51.760 --> 00:01:54.239
Yeah, they knew where I was going for sure.

43
00:01:54.319 --> 00:01:55.000
Get my keys.

44
00:01:55.400 --> 00:01:59.920
But it did get quite hairy, like we saw the man.

45
00:02:00.079 --> 00:02:01.680
If you didn't want to be in the pit at

46
00:02:01.680 --> 00:02:04.760
a certain point, there would be no getting out.

47
00:02:05.560 --> 00:02:08.439
You were you were there? You Yeah, once you're in there,

48
00:02:08.479 --> 00:02:09.199
that's it. You in there?

49
00:02:09.319 --> 00:02:12.439
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you'll leave it. You as it's sorry

50
00:02:13.000 --> 00:02:15.800
Friday And I'm like, oh, here we go, here we go.

51
00:02:15.960 --> 00:02:19.360
Bloodstock has me now right right and.

52
00:02:19.400 --> 00:02:23.560
I've gone, I've gone. But worth it? Oh hell yeah,

53
00:02:23.639 --> 00:02:26.000
and I'm here to do this interview. So I made it.

54
00:02:26.599 --> 00:02:31.240
Yeah, exactly right, glad so looking skype anyway, Okay, I.

55
00:02:31.199 --> 00:02:32.639
Know I made it. It's okay.

56
00:02:32.719 --> 00:02:36.319
Yeah, I can't say that all the time, but there's

57
00:02:36.360 --> 00:02:38.599
been a couple of machine had pits that maybe not.

58
00:02:39.319 --> 00:02:42.080
Have you really been to a metal festival if you

59
00:02:42.240 --> 00:02:46.240
haven't been in a pit and got sucked up?

60
00:02:46.400 --> 00:02:48.919
Yeah, I think remember the first Old Week Crouch Surf

61
00:02:49.080 --> 00:02:51.840
was Terrvision jb' st anniversary I.

62
00:02:51.800 --> 00:02:53.639
Think, so, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh yeah.

63
00:02:53.719 --> 00:02:56.159
We were like fifteen then and we're like forty on now,

64
00:02:56.240 --> 00:02:57.879
so it's a long time ago.

65
00:02:58.599 --> 00:03:01.199
Well, I'm not out my teeth.

66
00:03:01.719 --> 00:03:06.080
When I was seventeen getting up on a stage climbing

67
00:03:06.240 --> 00:03:10.840
up the Marshall stack that went full swan and while

68
00:03:10.960 --> 00:03:15.800
midair I watched the crowd do this, I'm like, fuck,

69
00:03:17.000 --> 00:03:20.240
there's a floor, yeah, teeth first, the floor you need.

70
00:03:22.400 --> 00:03:23.879
We don't talk about it, we don't talk.

71
00:03:24.080 --> 00:03:27.000
The blood's on my battle vest front.

72
00:03:27.080 --> 00:03:32.280
Oh wow, dude, incredible, mom, Yes, awesome, awesome, dude.

73
00:03:32.479 --> 00:03:37.360
Yes, fuck buying a pre made battle mind that that

74
00:03:37.599 --> 00:03:38.680
that's posers.

75
00:03:38.800 --> 00:03:41.960
Perfect little space there for the Mahager one.

76
00:03:42.000 --> 00:03:42.680
When we get one.

77
00:03:42.840 --> 00:03:45.680
Yeah, yeah, yeah, well listen, just go get a sharpie

78
00:03:45.719 --> 00:03:46.719
and you can fill it in.

79
00:03:46.879 --> 00:03:49.919
I think I'll go one the new addition to the vests.

80
00:03:50.199 --> 00:03:51.360
There you pictures.

81
00:03:51.560 --> 00:03:54.439
You're gonna do this all right, but this is a.

82
00:03:54.199 --> 00:03:57.439
Don't cover a and the other ship. You gotta pick

83
00:03:57.520 --> 00:03:59.960
open spot like the Aussie wall outside.

84
00:04:00.280 --> 00:04:01.759
There you go, I'll go up in the corner. So

85
00:04:01.800 --> 00:04:04.719
we're BEMA Base, so we're representingse all the way. We

86
00:04:04.800 --> 00:04:06.439
did a little bit of one of our songs in

87
00:04:06.680 --> 00:04:09.039
I said, we dropped a little bit of Waro Pigs nice,

88
00:04:09.759 --> 00:04:11.159
just to bring the crowd back and just to let

89
00:04:11.240 --> 00:04:13.360
them know, just a little tip hats and Nazy.

90
00:04:13.599 --> 00:04:17.399
I gotta tell you you speak better than he does,

91
00:04:17.480 --> 00:04:19.959
because uh my friends told me the first time I

92
00:04:20.000 --> 00:04:21.000
went to Birmingham.

93
00:04:21.120 --> 00:04:23.959
Yeah, They're like, you got not gonna understand word or

94
00:04:24.000 --> 00:04:26.319
fucking say. I'm like, what said? I was married to

95
00:04:26.360 --> 00:04:26.920
a Brett.

96
00:04:27.199 --> 00:04:29.120
Yeah, and I'm speak English.

97
00:04:29.240 --> 00:04:31.000
What the fuck are you talking away from a place

98
00:04:31.040 --> 00:04:31.600
called Dudley.

99
00:04:32.040 --> 00:04:34.879
Okay, we are deepest, darkest black country.

100
00:04:34.920 --> 00:04:36.879
We could speak in the language that you wouldn't have

101
00:04:36.879 --> 00:04:38.000
a fucking clue. I and do.

102
00:04:38.079 --> 00:04:40.240
But we want to keep it real, so people got

103
00:04:40.240 --> 00:04:41.000
to stand upwards.

104
00:04:41.040 --> 00:04:43.399
No people there going what the fuck.

105
00:04:43.240 --> 00:04:43.680
Did you say?

106
00:04:44.040 --> 00:04:46.199
Also, this is the first time that someone I said,

107
00:04:46.199 --> 00:04:47.879
they can understand here.

108
00:04:48.319 --> 00:04:51.399
Right, genuinely, the first time. And we've been friend since

109
00:04:51.399 --> 00:04:52.040
you was six.

110
00:04:51.920 --> 00:04:54.360
So nice, and I did. I get off.

111
00:04:54.439 --> 00:04:56.360
I got off the plane in Birmingham and I'm like,

112
00:04:56.839 --> 00:04:58.160
what are these people saying?

113
00:04:58.279 --> 00:05:02.319
Like, can you please ever know? Yeah, you speak Spanish

114
00:05:02.360 --> 00:05:04.120
to me, I might understand you better.

115
00:05:04.439 --> 00:05:07.600
Spike proper cool right there you go, there.

116
00:05:07.439 --> 00:05:11.160
You go, you know what you said? And I was

117
00:05:11.199 --> 00:05:13.480
married to a Jordie and I'll have an idea. Oh

118
00:05:13.480 --> 00:05:15.480
why why wait?

119
00:05:15.600 --> 00:05:19.000
You want to hear the story about it? Tell us

120
00:05:19.399 --> 00:05:21.879
she didn't have a Jordy accident. I think she took

121
00:05:21.879 --> 00:05:31.639
a class the proper Queen's English, okay, and so I

122
00:05:31.720 --> 00:05:35.040
never heard that ship. Oh I heard her speak like

123
00:05:35.079 --> 00:05:37.800
the Queen of England. She came over to the US

124
00:05:37.800 --> 00:05:42.319
and love English girls that come to us. They act

125
00:05:42.439 --> 00:05:45.839
like they're the queen like they act do Yeah, they

126
00:05:45.879 --> 00:05:46.720
act like they're.

127
00:05:48.560 --> 00:05:48.759
Right.

128
00:05:50.319 --> 00:05:55.720
She was like those downs Americans, Americans are classless and

129
00:05:56.079 --> 00:05:59.839
blah blah blah blah blah. And I didn't find out

130
00:05:59.879 --> 00:06:04.560
the years after a divorce of where she was actually from. Okay,

131
00:06:04.959 --> 00:06:07.600
and now I use it all the time and interviews

132
00:06:07.639 --> 00:06:11.439
over here, because not one person have I told that

133
00:06:11.600 --> 00:06:14.920
story to have They not laughed when I.

134
00:06:14.959 --> 00:06:19.199
See it Castle, Yeah, it's not the fucking crazy English.

135
00:06:18.959 --> 00:06:19.720
Dude, I swear to God.

136
00:06:19.800 --> 00:06:23.199
No, Yeah, I know right, it's like wow, but she

137
00:06:23.519 --> 00:06:24.560
was bat shit crazy.

138
00:06:24.600 --> 00:06:25.279
I could tell you that.

139
00:06:25.439 --> 00:06:27.480
Oh yeah, well the best ones are most of them are.

140
00:06:27.519 --> 00:06:31.959
Yeah, yeah, so here, here was, here was every day.

141
00:06:32.040 --> 00:06:36.439
It was the prim and proper English girl during.

142
00:06:36.160 --> 00:06:44.639
The day and then time, fifteen margaritas later, Yeah, fucking crazy,

143
00:06:44.800 --> 00:06:46.360
bat shake crazy.

144
00:06:46.480 --> 00:06:50.079
They all are due and then pass out. That was

145
00:06:50.160 --> 00:06:50.600
my day.

146
00:06:50.879 --> 00:06:54.519
Everybody want I want a fuck her before she passes out?

147
00:06:55.319 --> 00:06:58.600
What a guy? No one says, not no, you realize that.

148
00:06:59.519 --> 00:07:02.040
I'm good, she said before she passes out. Good man,

149
00:07:02.120 --> 00:07:03.040
good man yourself.

150
00:07:03.120 --> 00:07:07.639
Yeah, before she passes out, like the drug nice, the

151
00:07:07.680 --> 00:07:08.680
fun party girl.

152
00:07:08.839 --> 00:07:10.759
That's the one I want. I didn't want to fuck

153
00:07:10.800 --> 00:07:11.839
the wondering that yeah.

154
00:07:11.720 --> 00:07:14.160
For about twenty five minutes maybe, and then exactly out

155
00:07:14.199 --> 00:07:14.480
to her.

156
00:07:14.519 --> 00:07:16.959
Girl if she listens to this, A girl called rue,

157
00:07:17.439 --> 00:07:20.879
if you eat her expressed what she's a party girl?

158
00:07:20.920 --> 00:07:21.759
She has tried it.

159
00:07:21.720 --> 00:07:23.399
On with all of us and we've just been like,

160
00:07:23.439 --> 00:07:23.800
oh no.

161
00:07:24.079 --> 00:07:24.680
She was good.

162
00:07:24.800 --> 00:07:26.600
She was stuck jail for a little one, and then

163
00:07:26.639 --> 00:07:27.199
she came back.

164
00:07:27.120 --> 00:07:30.199
Out on the first night, came back out. Hey, let's

165
00:07:30.199 --> 00:07:30.800
go boys.

166
00:07:32.120 --> 00:07:34.560
Oh bless her ble. Yeah, God loves a tryer.

167
00:07:35.079 --> 00:07:37.079
I'll tell you what. One of the things she used

168
00:07:37.079 --> 00:07:37.279
to do.

169
00:07:38.560 --> 00:07:42.600
And she used to get me into fights, especially if

170
00:07:42.600 --> 00:07:46.560
there's got if there were English dudes around, yeah, she'd

171
00:07:46.600 --> 00:07:48.839
go up to them and like start hitting them and

172
00:07:48.920 --> 00:07:51.600
like and I, you.

173
00:07:51.639 --> 00:07:53.040
Gotta let them do that to me?

174
00:07:54.480 --> 00:07:56.839
Why just the English dudents? That's confusing?

175
00:07:57.079 --> 00:07:58.480
Why just the English dudents?

176
00:07:58.519 --> 00:08:01.240
Afterwards she would say, yeah, it's I thought, I fucking

177
00:08:01.399 --> 00:08:02.399
ate the English students.

178
00:08:02.920 --> 00:08:03.480
Blah blah blah.

179
00:08:03.959 --> 00:08:06.560
See that's why I don't like the English students.

180
00:08:07.199 --> 00:08:08.199
So where you're from America?

181
00:08:08.240 --> 00:08:11.040
By the way, Well, I live in South Florida. I

182
00:08:11.160 --> 00:08:14.560
remember playing being from there. I was born in New York,

183
00:08:14.600 --> 00:08:18.399
grew up in Jersey. Yeah, my dad movements at LA

184
00:08:18.480 --> 00:08:21.720
in nineteen eighty.

185
00:08:20.920 --> 00:08:22.800
That's why I have a vest like that.

186
00:08:23.839 --> 00:08:27.279
I was in that whole metal scene of nineteen eighties,

187
00:08:28.519 --> 00:08:32.480
the whole eighties scene, you know, what they say, if

188
00:08:32.519 --> 00:08:35.000
you're on the Sunset Strip in the eighties.

189
00:08:35.360 --> 00:08:41.320
And you remember it, you weren't there, right, Yeah, I

190
00:08:41.440 --> 00:08:45.519
remember it, pieces I do.

191
00:08:45.919 --> 00:08:46.440
He was there.

192
00:08:46.480 --> 00:08:47.559
He was there.

193
00:08:47.720 --> 00:08:50.879
I do remember picking my friends up that were passed

194
00:08:50.879 --> 00:08:54.879
out in the bushes outside Metallica's house that I remember.

195
00:08:55.039 --> 00:08:59.440
I do remember waking up in the morning and seeing

196
00:08:59.480 --> 00:09:03.159
the news about Vincent Rasell and going shit. I wondered

197
00:09:03.159 --> 00:09:04.679
why they didn't come back from.

198
00:09:04.519 --> 00:09:05.200
The beer run.

199
00:09:07.720 --> 00:09:10.519
No way, dude.

200
00:09:10.759 --> 00:09:15.320
I do remember going to the Rainbow and hanging out

201
00:09:15.320 --> 00:09:19.960
with Lemmy and Ron Jeremy and taking their overflow of

202
00:09:20.039 --> 00:09:24.440
women at at like fifteen, sixteen years old, or the

203
00:09:24.480 --> 00:09:25.799
Motley Crew parties.

204
00:09:26.799 --> 00:09:29.240
I would love to have met let me mom. Yeah, oh,

205
00:09:29.279 --> 00:09:31.519
our friends spank called the Whiskey Syndicate that went to

206
00:09:31.639 --> 00:09:33.720
they did a tour and never in Vegas and the

207
00:09:33.840 --> 00:09:36.159
singer was sat in the chair and they were like, dude, you.

208
00:09:36.159 --> 00:09:36.799
Can't sit there.

209
00:09:36.919 --> 00:09:39.600
Is that why? He's like, that's Lemmey's chair, that's let

210
00:09:39.600 --> 00:09:41.720
me share, Like, you have to move, yeah, and he

211
00:09:41.840 --> 00:09:44.679
was like no, I'm fucking to fucking move. Like two

212
00:09:44.720 --> 00:09:52.200
minutes later, maybe it comes walking and he's like, sorry, sir, sorry, sorry, sorry.

213
00:09:51.200 --> 00:09:54.080
And they have like an actual room now that's Lemmy's

214
00:09:54.159 --> 00:09:57.360
room because he was there all the time. Yeah, he

215
00:09:57.559 --> 00:10:00.840
was like and I also look and him like, how

216
00:10:00.840 --> 00:10:04.000
did I ever get into the rainbow at thirteen fourteen

217
00:10:04.159 --> 00:10:09.320
fifteen sixteen, Oh I was walking in with Motley Crue

218
00:10:09.440 --> 00:10:11.440
or oh I was walking in with this one.

219
00:10:11.519 --> 00:10:11.879
Yeah.

220
00:10:11.919 --> 00:10:15.200
And then I was at Metallica's first show ever. What

221
00:10:15.360 --> 00:10:17.480
and then we would do dude, we would go back

222
00:10:17.519 --> 00:10:21.120
to her place and party all night long afterwards, and

223
00:10:21.159 --> 00:10:25.120
they were called Alcoholica, so they were fun parties and

224
00:10:25.240 --> 00:10:29.799
the player's first show ever. And we sang out outside

225
00:10:29.840 --> 00:10:33.000
the club hang on, laughed, and everybody thought they were

226
00:10:33.039 --> 00:10:37.519
devil worshippers because like Tom's a Christian, like a very

227
00:10:37.600 --> 00:10:42.480
devout Christian singing I am the anti Christ, oh speaking

228
00:10:43.120 --> 00:10:43.759
any Christ.

229
00:10:43.840 --> 00:10:46.080
One of my favorite moments yesterday my wife all of

230
00:10:46.120 --> 00:10:49.240
a sudden, not saying rady, she's absolutely crying. There was

231
00:10:49.240 --> 00:10:53.399
a guy dresses Jesus, yeah, full on Jesus gear, and

232
00:10:53.440 --> 00:10:56.559
then there was a guy next to her with a

233
00:10:56.559 --> 00:10:59.840
batpash bad religion, and like the two of them together,

234
00:11:00.120 --> 00:11:03.200
she was just like, this is the most perfect bloodstock

235
00:11:03.279 --> 00:11:03.960
moment ever.

236
00:11:04.120 --> 00:11:07.159
Oh, the Jesus guy was just sat on the floor,

237
00:11:07.159 --> 00:11:07.720
sitting there.

238
00:11:08.120 --> 00:11:13.080
Right just going. I got a good story like that.

239
00:11:13.240 --> 00:11:14.840
I went to a show, if you could believe it,

240
00:11:15.240 --> 00:11:18.159
where Striper opened for Slayer.

241
00:11:18.159 --> 00:11:22.080
No Way and dude, so the guitarist. I'm right up

242
00:11:22.080 --> 00:11:22.679
at the stage.

243
00:11:22.720 --> 00:11:26.159
The guitarist leans down as crossed and dangling my face

244
00:11:26.639 --> 00:11:29.759
and I turned it upside down and he just laughed

245
00:11:29.799 --> 00:11:33.840
at me. But they got booed off stage because there

246
00:11:33.919 --> 00:11:34.879
was a Slayer crowd.

247
00:11:34.960 --> 00:11:37.039
Speaking of Slayer, were you here for the Back to

248
00:11:37.080 --> 00:11:37.759
the Beginning gig?

249
00:11:38.000 --> 00:11:42.639
I'm fortunately and unfortunately now I was over here for

250
00:11:42.799 --> 00:11:46.559
download and then I did hell Fests Resurrection Fest was

251
00:11:47.159 --> 00:11:49.559
I had another festival in the US like a week later.

252
00:11:49.639 --> 00:11:51.720
I'm like, I gotta get back home.

253
00:11:52.519 --> 00:11:56.759
But like it didn't matter who you are, publicist, media,

254
00:11:56.840 --> 00:11:58.440
record label, you had to buy a ticket.

255
00:11:58.480 --> 00:11:59.679
There were no plus faster.

256
00:12:00.320 --> 00:12:01.440
I was so lucky.

257
00:12:01.480 --> 00:12:04.080
Lizzie, my team that I work with for my fortieth

258
00:12:04.080 --> 00:12:06.919
birthday all chipped in and got me a ticket for

259
00:12:07.519 --> 00:12:10.320
Wow Magical Liza. I love them all so much. I

260
00:12:10.360 --> 00:12:12.399
was there for such a wonderful moment.

261
00:12:12.799 --> 00:12:15.559
But you know, I did feel better because I didn't

262
00:12:15.559 --> 00:12:19.000
buy a ticket because, like, listen, I've been seeing Aussie

263
00:12:19.039 --> 00:12:20.080
since nineteen eighty.

264
00:12:20.120 --> 00:12:21.799
I saw him at Brandy Roads every year.

265
00:12:23.080 --> 00:12:25.320
I don't think I would be happy sitting in the

266
00:12:25.399 --> 00:12:26.960
Nosebleedes to watch that.

267
00:12:27.240 --> 00:12:28.480
Yeah, we were on the floor.

268
00:12:28.679 --> 00:12:29.600
We were on the floor, That's.

269
00:12:29.519 --> 00:12:30.000
What I'm saying.

270
00:12:30.000 --> 00:12:30.759
It's incredible.

271
00:12:31.000 --> 00:12:34.759
And so I did the live stream and I was

272
00:12:34.799 --> 00:12:37.080
talking to my friends who were on the floor but

273
00:12:37.279 --> 00:12:40.679
the way back, and one of them she was like, yeah,

274
00:12:40.840 --> 00:12:43.159
I couldn't see Alsie at all, and I couldn't even

275
00:12:43.240 --> 00:12:46.480
see the screen. But I love the emotion it like

276
00:12:46.960 --> 00:12:47.600
just being there.

277
00:12:48.120 --> 00:12:50.639
Yes, the live stream was so good.

278
00:12:51.080 --> 00:12:53.519
I think what it meant to people, like the local

279
00:12:53.559 --> 00:12:57.240
area like surrounding Millings and Birmingham was just it was, oh.

280
00:12:57.240 --> 00:12:59.240
Yeah, we have to give a shout out to Birmingham

281
00:12:59.279 --> 00:13:02.440
and literally like all right, the gig and like the

282
00:13:02.480 --> 00:13:04.200
procession for I was there as.

283
00:13:04.080 --> 00:13:06.399
Well when he came from here.

284
00:13:06.399 --> 00:13:09.919
It was incredible, literally massive shout out to Birmingham.

285
00:13:10.080 --> 00:13:12.120
We love you, we love you so much.

286
00:13:12.480 --> 00:13:14.120
Hometown hometown.

287
00:13:14.360 --> 00:13:18.480
Hey, listen, if I lived here, I would definitely gone.

288
00:13:18.840 --> 00:13:23.600
But between the flight and like hotels were like ten grand.

289
00:13:23.639 --> 00:13:27.279
The night shit ship ship dude, you could have come

290
00:13:27.320 --> 00:13:28.120
to fucking stopped.

291
00:13:27.840 --> 00:13:28.639
With me for nine grand.

292
00:13:28.840 --> 00:13:33.799
Right, I take my number next time I go, Hey,

293
00:13:33.960 --> 00:13:35.320
somebody to bury me.

294
00:13:35.360 --> 00:13:38.399
With Arsie from ten ground fucking right right, you know.

295
00:13:39.360 --> 00:13:43.240
But on the way here, I flew into the London.

296
00:13:43.320 --> 00:13:45.279
I was driving up here. Yeah, man, and the person

297
00:13:45.320 --> 00:13:49.279
I'm driving with, I'm like, we're taking a detour. And

298
00:13:49.360 --> 00:13:51.600
I did go to the Black Sabbath Bridge on the.

299
00:13:52.519 --> 00:13:53.240
Yeah, cool man.

300
00:13:53.320 --> 00:13:55.919
That was my road to suck, dude, and that was

301
00:13:55.960 --> 00:13:56.519
cool ship.

302
00:13:56.639 --> 00:13:58.759
I go past it every day on the way to work.

303
00:13:58.919 --> 00:14:01.639
Oh my god, Oh call see, I have to move

304
00:14:01.720 --> 00:14:04.200
there just for that, really right.

305
00:14:04.720 --> 00:14:07.559
We literally lived like a fifteen minutes well fifteen twenty

306
00:14:07.559 --> 00:14:11.559
minute drive away from Birmingham City center. So yeah, And

307
00:14:12.000 --> 00:14:14.919
I think they're trying to get the Crown, the pop

308
00:14:15.080 --> 00:14:18.879
famous pub in Birmingham, the Crome suba play by. They're

309
00:14:18.879 --> 00:14:21.679
trying to get it back open again's been empty for years.

310
00:14:21.720 --> 00:14:24.039
They're trying to get it back open again. So it

311
00:14:24.159 --> 00:14:24.879
has to happen.

312
00:14:24.919 --> 00:14:27.759
It has to happen, definitely.

313
00:14:27.759 --> 00:14:29.840
Conglomerate listening sauty.

314
00:14:30.320 --> 00:14:34.399
Wait wait, share it open the crowd share.

315
00:14:34.960 --> 00:14:40.159
So I've shipped on the carpet, you fucking dogs.

316
00:14:41.320 --> 00:14:43.799
I was so into Azzie that I had a history

317
00:14:43.840 --> 00:14:46.399
class in high school that we only had one project,

318
00:14:46.840 --> 00:14:50.720
and that was to do an oral presentation on any

319
00:14:50.799 --> 00:14:51.759
subject you want.

320
00:14:52.559 --> 00:14:54.080
I got an a in the class.

321
00:14:54.399 --> 00:14:57.919
It was Ozzie Osbourne Satanism and it's mute.

322
00:14:57.759 --> 00:15:00.000
Nice, no fucking mamas.

323
00:15:00.080 --> 00:15:00.440
Yeah it was.

324
00:15:00.440 --> 00:15:01.320
That's the coolest. Fuck.

325
00:15:02.000 --> 00:15:03.399
I got another one ready.

326
00:15:04.080 --> 00:15:07.120
So I saw Randy Rhoades because they played New Year's

327
00:15:07.120 --> 00:15:08.360
Eve right before he died.

328
00:15:09.279 --> 00:15:10.440
There's one of those things.

329
00:15:10.919 --> 00:15:13.440
I told my dad I was sleeping over my friend's house.

330
00:15:13.480 --> 00:15:15.840
He told his parents he was sleeping over my house.

331
00:15:16.200 --> 00:15:18.919
And we went to see Azzie. And I live my

332
00:15:19.000 --> 00:15:21.159
house in my backyard at a hill that went straight

333
00:15:21.240 --> 00:15:22.039
down to a lake.

334
00:15:22.759 --> 00:15:24.279
So we just hung out at the.

335
00:15:24.320 --> 00:15:27.519
Lake in the wee hours until we could go back

336
00:15:27.559 --> 00:15:30.960
in my house, like oh waking up, you know.

337
00:15:31.039 --> 00:15:32.600
Type of thing.

338
00:15:32.840 --> 00:15:37.840
My next door neighbor she comes out, she's like, oh,

339
00:15:37.879 --> 00:15:40.279
were you boys at the Aussie concert last night? And

340
00:15:40.320 --> 00:15:45.440
we're like, oh fuck, we're busted, and she goes, wait.

341
00:15:45.360 --> 00:15:47.080
Right there, I'm getting my husband.

342
00:15:47.159 --> 00:15:50.360
I'm like, oh fuck, you are toasted.

343
00:15:50.440 --> 00:15:50.919
Rite right.

344
00:15:51.720 --> 00:15:55.000
He invites us up to his house and now I'm think,

345
00:15:55.120 --> 00:15:59.919
oh fuck, he had a studio in there, wall the wall,

346
00:16:00.080 --> 00:16:07.000
cassette tapes. He was fucking Aussie's promoter. No way what Yeah,

347
00:16:07.200 --> 00:16:09.559
so he had a bunch of swag and then he

348
00:16:09.600 --> 00:16:12.639
hands me this cassette day he goes, this band isn't

349
00:16:12.679 --> 00:16:14.879
in the United States yet, but in six months are

350
00:16:14.919 --> 00:16:15.960
going to be huge here.

351
00:16:16.759 --> 00:16:22.720
It was accept dude, like I got.

352
00:16:23.200 --> 00:16:25.120
I was like the first person in the US to

353
00:16:25.200 --> 00:16:27.200
hear Fast as a Shark.

354
00:16:27.919 --> 00:16:32.879
So exet Yeah a boy Anthony has been looking after accepts.

355
00:16:33.120 --> 00:16:36.399
Yeah yeah, so yeah.

356
00:16:36.919 --> 00:16:40.559
Ozzie definitely has hold a lot of memories.

357
00:16:40.960 --> 00:16:43.360
I went to every odds fester was I.

358
00:16:43.399 --> 00:16:45.960
Was too young to make well I should have been

359
00:16:45.960 --> 00:16:48.480
too young, but I did. Like the first time what

360
00:16:48.559 --> 00:16:51.120
was the old last best which became download?

361
00:16:51.200 --> 00:16:54.440
I went to six. But I wish I could have been.

362
00:16:54.279 --> 00:16:56.200
Back in guitars.

363
00:16:56.759 --> 00:16:59.960
Randy Yeah, Pat Travers played one game.

364
00:17:00.200 --> 00:17:00.799
I was at it.

365
00:17:01.279 --> 00:17:06.559
Yeah, Brad Gillis, Jakie Lee, Zach Wilde.

366
00:17:07.480 --> 00:17:09.720
He was there, back to the beginning. He was Lee

367
00:17:09.839 --> 00:17:10.839
was there back to the beginning.

368
00:17:10.880 --> 00:17:13.240
Man. When he came out, the crowd was just like,

369
00:17:14.720 --> 00:17:15.960
that's incredible.

370
00:17:16.000 --> 00:17:16.640
What a moment.

371
00:17:17.119 --> 00:17:19.400
What a moment, and he wasn't even sure he'd be

372
00:17:19.440 --> 00:17:22.839
able to play. He's got was it ar praise or

373
00:17:22.839 --> 00:17:24.039
something like really bad?

374
00:17:24.200 --> 00:17:26.480
Same with Stephen Tyler, though Stephen Titan is not meant

375
00:17:26.480 --> 00:17:28.240
to be singing at the moment, and he came out with.

376
00:17:28.359 --> 00:17:31.519
Running road that Stephen Tyler and starts to give in my.

377
00:17:31.559 --> 00:17:35.119
Mind because he's not supposed to sing like but what

378
00:17:35.319 --> 00:17:38.400
really blew my mind more than anything, And I lost

379
00:17:38.440 --> 00:17:40.599
it and I didn't expect it.

380
00:17:41.200 --> 00:17:46.599
Young buddy, I messaged my wife, immediately, have to be finished,

381
00:17:46.640 --> 00:17:49.480
and I said, right, young Blood has just had his

382
00:17:49.759 --> 00:17:56.599
George Michael Queen, Elton John moment like that, that's him made.

383
00:17:56.680 --> 00:17:57.759
Now oh he's done.

384
00:17:58.039 --> 00:18:00.720
He's done, like that's all he had to do, and

385
00:18:00.759 --> 00:18:02.599
now he's gonna just be forever.

386
00:18:03.240 --> 00:18:06.640
Apparently someone told me that Apparently once he met the

387
00:18:06.640 --> 00:18:09.079
young Blood. Apparently he turned around and said, oh, I've

388
00:18:09.079 --> 00:18:09.799
just met myself.

389
00:18:10.400 --> 00:18:14.559
Yes, it's his younger self, working class lade.

390
00:18:14.839 --> 00:18:15.359
He loves it.

391
00:18:15.359 --> 00:18:17.920
He puts on his own festival, makes his tickets as

392
00:18:17.960 --> 00:18:19.519
cheap as possible so people can go.

393
00:18:19.559 --> 00:18:22.160
And this is some good music. Honestly, the boy, he's

394
00:18:22.200 --> 00:18:23.440
a strip of rocket to him.

395
00:18:24.640 --> 00:18:25.960
He's a badass for sure.

396
00:18:26.039 --> 00:18:30.000
Yeah, and I've seen him and hung around him in

397
00:18:30.160 --> 00:18:30.839
real life.

398
00:18:31.400 --> 00:18:32.920
The nicest kid in the world.

399
00:18:33.119 --> 00:18:34.680
I watching when even on the bus, He's on there

400
00:18:34.759 --> 00:18:37.079
quite a few times, and it just seems like he's

401
00:18:37.079 --> 00:18:37.480
just chills.

402
00:18:37.559 --> 00:18:38.119
It's just a.

403
00:18:38.119 --> 00:18:42.359
Real dude, like everyone else tell he's like running for

404
00:18:42.559 --> 00:18:47.640
the president, like like just like acting like Raine circles,

405
00:18:48.160 --> 00:18:49.039
like just for fun.

406
00:18:49.720 --> 00:18:51.680
That's why Ozzie related to he.

407
00:18:51.640 --> 00:18:54.359
Can't beat the British working class family night.

408
00:18:54.680 --> 00:18:58.480
That's the best people, true story, true story, not like

409
00:18:58.519 --> 00:18:59.920
the fake Jordan.

410
00:19:00.039 --> 00:19:01.480
He's trying to be royal.

411
00:19:05.200 --> 00:19:07.440
Nay and the George name No.

412
00:19:07.559 --> 00:19:11.119
Joydles, No Joydles, that's the one.

413
00:19:12.240 --> 00:19:13.839
That's well, call her Joydel.

414
00:19:16.000 --> 00:19:18.400
So no everybody how they can look up with you

415
00:19:18.480 --> 00:19:23.039
on social media, on the web, buy your merch, they

416
00:19:23.079 --> 00:19:24.079
can't listen to my show.

417
00:19:24.119 --> 00:19:25.640
And let's say buy your merch by the way.

418
00:19:25.759 --> 00:19:30.200
Basically literally just typing Mansis defeats Jaguar on any search

419
00:19:30.240 --> 00:19:32.240
changing or go dot co dot UK.

420
00:19:32.480 --> 00:19:32.920
We were on.

421
00:19:32.960 --> 00:19:36.839
Instagram, we're on Facebook, we're on Apple Music, we're on Spotify,

422
00:19:36.960 --> 00:19:39.000
we're on Amazon, we're on Title.

423
00:19:39.440 --> 00:19:40.720
It's all out there.

424
00:19:40.680 --> 00:19:43.799
And now for the American listeners. Can you say it

425
00:19:43.799 --> 00:19:44.400
in English?

426
00:19:44.440 --> 00:19:45.480
Now? Okay?

427
00:19:45.559 --> 00:19:49.279
Guys like our Yeah we're mancis Beech Jaguar and yeah

428
00:19:49.319 --> 00:19:51.000
you can catch out ship on MANSI to.

429
00:19:51.039 --> 00:19:56.160
Beech Jaguar dot co dot UK. Does that work? Does

430
00:19:56.200 --> 00:19:56.599
that work?

431
00:19:56.920 --> 00:19:59.759
That works for? Is that okay, Boston? I think it is.

432
00:20:03.880 --> 00:20:06.359
I tried. That was fucking great though, it.

433
00:20:06.519 --> 00:20:09.799
Was fucking great, Okay, I just gotta say it was great.

434
00:20:10.960 --> 00:20:12.960
What else do you want to tell the listeners real

435
00:20:13.039 --> 00:20:15.119
quick that we haven't covered about your band that they

436
00:20:15.119 --> 00:20:15.519
need to know.

437
00:20:15.680 --> 00:20:18.000
I think the main thing about the band is we

438
00:20:18.079 --> 00:20:19.839
just want to bring happiness. We want to be enjoyed,

439
00:20:19.960 --> 00:20:22.359
want to have a party, we want to have a laugh.

440
00:20:22.920 --> 00:20:24.559
We want to people to listen to our music and

441
00:20:24.640 --> 00:20:27.960
bounce along and just enjoy it. There's no negative vibe,

442
00:20:28.000 --> 00:20:30.160
there's no nastiness, there's no aggression, there's nothing.

443
00:20:30.200 --> 00:20:31.839
It's just, you know what, We're all here for a

444
00:20:31.880 --> 00:20:32.279
good time.

445
00:20:32.720 --> 00:20:34.440
You get to live once. It's a lot of practice

446
00:20:34.440 --> 00:20:36.160
front just to enjoy it while you can. And that's

447
00:20:36.160 --> 00:20:36.720
what we're about.

448
00:20:37.240 --> 00:20:37.799
I love it.

449
00:20:37.960 --> 00:20:40.759
That's my mottol Man fair play man. So you're now

450
00:20:40.839 --> 00:20:42.559
my favorite band of the last fire.

451
00:20:43.319 --> 00:20:45.519
Thank you, sir, Thank you so fucking much. It's been

452
00:20:45.519 --> 00:20:46.160
a pleasure to me.

453
00:20:47.519 --> 00:20:50.160
There are literally no bands around us. His favorite band.

454
00:20:50.200 --> 00:20:51.039
The last five minutes.

455
00:20:51.079 --> 00:20:52.920
We've done good. We done good.

456
00:20:53.000 --> 00:20:54.319
Yeah, five minutes is a long time.

457
00:20:54.440 --> 00:20:55.000
He cared me.

458
00:20:55.480 --> 00:20:57.599
Yeah, thank you so much for the second time to.

459
00:20:57.559 --> 00:21:02.440
Make us monet pleasure to meet you all mine and if.

460
00:21:02.359 --> 00:21:04.680
Ever the US wants us, just holler welcome with him.

461
00:21:04.759 --> 00:21:06.799
And I'm really I'm going to write a note to

462
00:21:06.880 --> 00:21:10.720
Sharon and say I'm really pissed off you didn't bring.

463
00:21:10.480 --> 00:21:12.400
These guys back to the beginning.

464
00:21:12.720 --> 00:21:15.119
They're more working classic young blood to get these guys.

465
00:21:16.039 --> 00:21:20.119
They're Birmingham's best. Now that Ousi is not here with

466
00:21:20.240 --> 00:21:23.880
us anymore, you're Birmingham's best that Ozsie's not with us,

467
00:21:23.559 --> 00:21:24.160
as kind.

468
00:21:24.079 --> 00:21:25.480
Of what we thought of what we felt and we

469
00:21:25.519 --> 00:21:27.920
got told you from Birmingham, you're the only guys there.

470
00:21:28.039 --> 00:21:30.119
Bring it, bring Ausie and we did so.

471
00:21:30.160 --> 00:21:33.119
And you did and here you are. Thanks for here,

472
00:21:33.519 --> 00:21:35.759
thanks for being on the adventure due.

473
00:21:36.079 --> 00:21:37.640
Thank you very much, mine, all the best.

474
00:21:37.799 --> 00:21:43.200
Michelle Kerr was my press officer for my entire fucking

475
00:21:43.640 --> 00:21:47.720
career here in the UK. My entire career with Machina.

476
00:21:50.000 --> 00:21:53.160
She recently passed away and it was a very, very

477
00:21:53.200 --> 00:21:55.880
sad day. And I can tell you the reason that

478
00:21:55.920 --> 00:21:59.759
I'm going to tell this story because she was family.

479
00:22:00.240 --> 00:22:04.759
She was Bloodstock family, she was heavy metal UK family.

480
00:22:06.880 --> 00:22:08.599
Most of the bears that.

481
00:22:08.680 --> 00:22:11.759
You know and love, you probably heard of because of

482
00:22:11.799 --> 00:22:18.880
that woman right there. Slive Knots, Slayer, Machinehead, Trivium Kills,

483
00:22:18.880 --> 00:22:25.160
which engage, Hey, reed, you name it. She helped lift

484
00:22:25.279 --> 00:22:28.759
everybody up, man. She helped lift everybody up and in

485
00:22:28.839 --> 00:22:33.079
so many ways, she helped make this entire music scene,

486
00:22:33.279 --> 00:22:37.640
this incredible, beautiful community that lives here at Bloodstock Man

487
00:22:37.839 --> 00:22:38.640
she helped make it.

488
00:22:39.839 --> 00:22:40.480
So, ladies and.

489
00:22:40.440 --> 00:22:43.720
Gentlemen, please make some noise from Michelle Kerr.

490
00:22:48.799 --> 00:22:52.960
Thank you for listening to the Adventures of plate Man

491
00:22:53.559 --> 00:22:57.000
on w for CUI Radio.
