That is a mouthful. I don't even know how you say that so easily, because like that's why I have you say it, because I'm like, tell somebody to say that ten times fast. Yeah. I mean we started this band when I was in high school and it was literally like a project for like a film class, and we're like, oh, We're gonna make a movie about a fake band. They're like, what's the dumbest thing you could call a fake band? They're like, oh, Texas Toast chainsawm Asker. And then we just kept doing it over the summer and now here we are like playing fucking Milwaukee Metalfest and that's still our stupid band name.

0:59 I love it, And you know, you should go out on tour. I'm putting it out there to Jane you should and to Brandon you should go on tour with death Clock. I would face. With death Clock like based. On that, it's like two we'll call them fake bands instead are really bands? You know. I mean, we're a real band now, but when we first started, it was absolutely just like fuck it, we're just gonna joke around. Like we didn't have any music or anything. It was just like whatever. And then we're like, yeah, over summer we wrote an EP and then we just played some backyards and here we are at the ravee. It reminds me, and you're wearing a shirt too that When I was in high school, my history class in eleventh grade turned out the history teacher was gone for some reason, so they had the music teacher teaching the history class, okay, And basically what he did was he was like, you have one project the whole year, an oral report on any object you choose, and that's the whole deal. That's what we're gonna do for the year.

2:05 So I picked Ozzy Osbourne Satanism in his music. Hell yeah. And I brought him props and you know, played Ozzy in the class and stuff, and I got an Eh. That's awesome, we got an a too, right. That's the way to do it, right man. Hell yeah. It's funny because like I still stay in touch with that teachers. He watches us do what we do. Now and he's like, man, you did this in my class like twelve years ago, and like now you're playing fucking Poland and like this, and it's just like, yeah, man, we're doing it. And he probably couldn't have imagined. Oh absolutely, I couldn't imagine it. Like, yeah, I'm sure he's shocked us out, But so. What made you decide to go to becoming a real band from that?

2:46 We just loved doing it. We just we grew up like thrash kids. We just grew up in the punk scene in Chicago, and we just loved like the community and just we loved playing music. And so it's just like, yeah, let's just do it. Like we just we do it for ourselves more than anything else. It's like this is what we enjoy doing and other people just happen to like it too, So like that's cool. So now I have to ask you a question because like for me, there's very few moments this happens, but it does happen. But when he came up on stage in the beginning to announce you guys, were you like fanboying out that, Oh my god. Bill Moseley's like. Oh my god, yeah, dude, Yeah, like we asked him right before I said, We're like, hey, would you do this? And he's like, yeah, you totally. We're like, oh my god, like this fucking chop Top.

3:26 And then then like he went on stage and he did his thing, and I never thought in a million years chop Top would go dog Will Hunt and then we would start playing our fucking songs. Like how such a cool, cool fucking moment, like I will never forget. Now, that's what you have to tell the teacher too. Oh yeah, like could you imagine? I know, it's just like yeah, man, oh my god. So what would you have said to yourself or hey you but well, anybody else back in high school that in twenty twenty six you'd be playing a music festival and chop Top with it and it would be the one introducing you. I would just be like, dude, buckle up, You're in for a fucking ride. Right, and you just that's the key. You never know what to expect, so just do it. Yeah, you know, like you can't. You know, you're in high school. You don't know what's holding the future, so just do whatever you feel.

4:16 Absolutely follow your dreams exactly. You know. Any times we've been told we can't do something, and it's like, no, fuck you, We're gonna do it, and let me here. We are doing it. That's the way it should be. I'm also besides radio, I'm also a motivational speaker, so I totally believe in that stuff. And it's like your own inner vocabulary can also make a determination. Don't listen to other fucking people. No, don't you listen to yourself. Do what you want to do, like fucking do whatever you do. It doesn't affect their life. The people that give you advice, it doesn't affect their life in any way. And they don't really know you. They know what they know, yeah, but they don't know exactly you know. So what's next? Now? How you top this? Now? I don't know.

4:57 We're uh, we're taking a little bit of a breakout to this. We got like two more shows this year. And we're we're writing our next album and so it should be out hopefully next It will be out next year, just don't know when. And then we're gonna tore the shit out of it where it's gonna We're gonna do the States, We're gonna go back to Canada. We're gonna go back to Europe. We're just gonna fucking live on the road for a little bit and party everywhere we can and then disguise the limit. Man, like never thought would be here, and like we are here now, and we'll see where the rest of the fucking trip takes us. Like we're here for whatever. We're down. Yeah, because it's it's funny because like last night, I'm you know, going over my schedule for today and I'm looking at the thing and like I literally came here early so I could catch your set, cause thank you very much your music. I was like, that's my speed right there.

Like I talked to Josta a little bit after our set, and he told us that like he put us first because he thought people would come see us early, just to like get people here early. And like it fucking worked. We packed the room. I was told people were turned away at the door. There was too many people in the room. It was like that, like that's awesome. It's funny too how it happened, because I was in there pretty early, and I'm like, man, I hope they get like a crowd because it's early. It's Sunday, you know. Yeah, And the place was fricking pact. It was packed and everyone went nuts. There's stage dives, there's pits the whole time. Yeah, it was a fucking great time. Like we were blown away by that response. We had no idea what to expect because yeah, we were the.

6:28 First band on Sunday. It's like, I don't know how this is gonna go, but it went better than our wildest imagination. So it just proves Justin's brilliant. Hell yeah, dude, fuck yeah. I mean, like, long live Jamie j Justa. And you know it's funny because you do think as an our so great I'm first, nobody will be there, blah blah blah, and there it is. Yeah yeah, I mean we were stoked to play. Regardless, we would have played the four fucking people and we would have done the exact same set. But it's like, hell yeah, we'll just have fun with everyone else. Well that's a true artist, isn't it. You know, a true artists is somebody that they just want to play. Yeah. There, Like I don't care, I don't care we make a single dime today, Like, we had a great fucking time and we don't do this for money. We just do this. I have fun.

7:09 Well, and that's a good thing nowadays, right because artists don't make shit and people don't realize that. They think, oh, everybody's rock star, like rock star is doing to exist anymore. And so I always tell people, and same for you, like listen, you gotta buy their merch, or you can't listen to my fucking show because it's the only way you get to the next gig. Yeah, I'm not making money off of it's just paying for gas. We're traveling T shirts salesman, exactly. Yeah, we speak of which I do have a bone to pick with you, okay, because I did come down here right after your set to and I've not the whole week, and I've never stood online for merch. I got merch, but I just waited until later. I was standing online and then I found that you only had small and extra large left in your shirts.

So we priced our shirts like fifteen bucks, right, because we're like fuck it, like I don't care, like I want people to have them, like, so like, yeah, fucking fifteen bucks, and like, yeah, we we were told we're out of shirts completely. People were just buying whatever was left. Just yeah, it's the samples and even up there, it's gone. They're all gone. I have a single shirt we brought to It's four pm, doors have been opened for three hours. And we're out of merch. I'm telling you right now. It was a media. I was here. It was immediate, Like I'm a medium. There wasn't a medium. There was small and extra low. It's crazy, and I got down here right after your set. Yeah. Good news is we're gonna put up pre orders tomorrow nice more shirts than anyone who wants one can find them on our band camp or Facebook or in some literally wherever, and then yeah, we'll be printing as many as people buy.

Is there anything else you want to tell the listeners about that we haven't covered that you got coming up going on? We'll be at Rock and Wrestling in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on July eighteenth. That's pretty cool sounding. I do all kinds of festivals all over US, UK and Europe, and that one's a new one to me. Yeah, it's a wrestling show with bands but that's why I think it's cool. Well, I just did Welcome to Rockville recently and they had a pre event that was called Blood for Blood and it was basically bare knuckle fighting. It's but it was band play fight. Band play fight, Yeah, band play fight, and the final flight final fight was Alex a Terrible from Slurr to Prevail. That's crazy, and he fought and then he played at the festival afterwards. I'm like, he's a fucking badass. That's that's It's not boxing, it's bare knuckle fight, eating the hell out each other. And he did get pounded pretty good. Yeah, I was surprised because he's a big boy, but he was like it was funny because he got knocked down a few times and he just got right up and ran around the ring like Rocky did. The last time he got hit. You could tell he tried to get up fast and it did not work. And but more power to him, man,

10:21 like exactly, Like what experiences you have doing that anyway? Yeah? Yeah right, and you just he they were the first band to play at that event and then played afterwards, so he played two sets and fun good for him, right, So maybe maybe you guys should have, like you should have like a wrestling match. Maybe Bill, we've done that before. So like we we we were supposed to do a table spot, like we put someone through a table during our set. Like that's like we have a lot of wrestling songs. We have our own custom wrestling belt now, like we are, we're huge wrestling fans and like we've played plenty of wrestling shows and like we've had matches with other bands before, and like we've done like wrestling rivalries with people and like just go on our fucking YouTube page and watch like some of our old stuff, like we do crazy stuff like that.
