Pipeman Radio chats with Melodic Death Metal Band Accursed, a 100% DIY outfit at the moment.

Dave Lee started this 2017 shortly after moving back home to CT after 11 years in Arizona where he really cut his teeth playing in several metal bands over the years.

Accursed is a young band, honestly, not age wise generally speaking, Dave thinks he really skewed the average but they have a unique perspective you don't get a lot. They understand the struggles and they are learning how to navigate a changing industry day by day like a lot of other musicians.

An interesting thing to note might be the lyrical theme behind their most recent single. The song itself is based on Sky King, Richard "Bebo" Russell, and the Horizon Air incident of 2018. It's not so much a pastiche or allegory so much as an adaptation relayed through an artistic lens. We didn't want to glorify his actions but rather look at it from a wholly human perspective.
