We are at Shawshank Prison aka Ohio State Reformatory for the 2025 Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival. Dark Devine is playing and came backstage in the Press / Artist Lounge to talk with Pipeman Radio of W4CY Radio about what it is like to perform at such an iconic location where Shawshank Redemption was filmed. This closed down prison is known to be haunted so when you go to Blood Prison who knows what will happen.

WEBVTT

1
00:00:04.400 --> 00:00:05.679
Hi, you love them too?

2
00:00:06.120 --> 00:00:12.560
Yes, that's true. Wow, Crazy Young.

3
00:00:15.080 --> 00:00:19.000
Incarceration America's Rock, Metal and Tattoo Festival.

4
00:00:19.600 --> 00:00:21.640
It is the pipe Man here on the Adventures of

5
00:00:21.679 --> 00:00:23.920
Pipe Man W four C Y Radio, and I'm here.

6
00:00:23.760 --> 00:00:26.280
With Anthony Martinez of Dark Divine.

7
00:00:26.199 --> 00:00:29.160
Robbie Lynch from Dark Divine, and man, you guys look

8
00:00:29.359 --> 00:00:30.239
fucking cool?

9
00:00:30.359 --> 00:00:32.880
Are you as good as you look? Cool? Fuck?

10
00:00:32.960 --> 00:00:34.920
No, that's how we do it. What do you mean

11
00:00:36.000 --> 00:00:37.240
this is a front? We don't even know how to

12
00:00:37.240 --> 00:00:38.439
play our instruments.

13
00:00:38.079 --> 00:00:38.640
Right right.

14
00:00:39.280 --> 00:00:43.640
Actually, I think nowadays it's kind of upfront, so people

15
00:00:43.679 --> 00:00:45.280
don't bug the crap out of you.

16
00:00:45.280 --> 00:00:48.200
When you're not playing. That's the way I would think

17
00:00:48.240 --> 00:00:48.520
of it.

18
00:00:48.560 --> 00:00:51.280
Like for me, I have had moments where like even

19
00:00:51.320 --> 00:00:52.960
at the last show we were playing in Michigan, I

20
00:00:53.000 --> 00:00:54.600
was in makeup in my and I was like meeting

21
00:00:54.600 --> 00:00:56.560
fans of course, and then I took the makeup off

22
00:00:56.560 --> 00:00:58.840
and I was just kind of having a stroll and

23
00:00:58.880 --> 00:01:00.439
it was like no one bothered me, know, and like

24
00:01:00.560 --> 00:01:02.000
came up to me or anything called my mom.

25
00:01:02.039 --> 00:01:02.479
It was great.

26
00:01:02.840 --> 00:01:05.920
Well, It's like I've hung out watching shows with Chris

27
00:01:05.959 --> 00:01:09.760
Motionless after his set and he has no makeup on. Yeah,

28
00:01:09.799 --> 00:01:12.719
and we'll laugh. I'll laugh, especially because we're standing there

29
00:01:12.719 --> 00:01:14.359
and nobody knows it's him.

30
00:01:14.480 --> 00:01:16.840
Oh yeah. It's good to be able to like put

31
00:01:16.840 --> 00:01:18.000
it on and take it off as.

32
00:01:18.359 --> 00:01:20.560
Needed, right, you know, because then you could go out

33
00:01:20.719 --> 00:01:23.519
and do your thing and just like be part of

34
00:01:23.519 --> 00:01:26.319
the crowd and.

35
00:01:26.359 --> 00:01:27.079
No one knows it was you.

36
00:01:27.239 --> 00:01:28.560
Yeah exactly, there you go.

37
00:01:28.760 --> 00:01:30.040
That's like the beauty.

38
00:01:29.680 --> 00:01:31.760
Of doing the full face pain. At least for myself

39
00:01:31.799 --> 00:01:34.079
and our bass players. We just wipe it all off.

40
00:01:34.560 --> 00:01:36.400
Nobody knows it's us if we walked through the crowd.

41
00:01:36.840 --> 00:01:38.599
Yeah exactly. It's like Gwar.

42
00:01:39.000 --> 00:01:42.239
I've interviewed them without their costumes and makeup, and then

43
00:01:42.280 --> 00:01:45.319
I saw him afterwards, like at the bar and nobody

44
00:01:45.359 --> 00:01:47.920
knows yor there. I'm like, I go up and whisper.

45
00:01:48.000 --> 00:01:50.719
I'm like, you guys should put the costumes back on.

46
00:01:50.760 --> 00:01:51.680
You look a lot better.

47
00:01:54.400 --> 00:01:59.079
So the contacts yours are fucking Like, why.

48
00:01:58.760 --> 00:02:00.799
Like them all these out of my eyes?

49
00:02:01.120 --> 00:02:04.120
Well, that's what I was gonna ask, man. I mean,

50
00:02:04.280 --> 00:02:06.799
like I used to wear context to see and I

51
00:02:06.920 --> 00:02:10.639
hated it, Like how you even see those?

52
00:02:10.639 --> 00:02:12.400
I was gonna say, it's ironic you say that because

53
00:02:12.400 --> 00:02:14.759
we put them in and we can't see. Really, it's right,

54
00:02:14.800 --> 00:02:16.520
it's I mean, we can see, but it's just it.

55
00:02:16.759 --> 00:02:19.000
I have a very limited like I don't have peripheral vision.

56
00:02:19.439 --> 00:02:19.639
I know.

57
00:02:19.680 --> 00:02:21.840
We used to both wear at one point in our lives.

58
00:02:22.360 --> 00:02:24.879
These like opaque kind of shielded.

59
00:02:25.800 --> 00:02:26.599
They're very messy.

60
00:02:26.680 --> 00:02:29.360
Yeah, and like it's as soon as stage lights hit them,

61
00:02:29.400 --> 00:02:31.479
you go blind and it's the worst feeling in the world.

62
00:02:31.759 --> 00:02:32.400
Yeah, I bet.

63
00:02:32.759 --> 00:02:35.360
Actually during one set, we were playing in our hometown,

64
00:02:35.439 --> 00:02:38.240
Saint Pete, in my hometown Saint Pete, and I had

65
00:02:38.280 --> 00:02:40.639
to rip the contacts out of my eyeballs midseet.

66
00:02:41.000 --> 00:02:43.039
Oh. I believe I couldn't see anything because it was

67
00:02:43.080 --> 00:02:43.599
that hot.

68
00:02:43.840 --> 00:02:46.199
Yeah, yes, sweat gets underneath the context.

69
00:02:46.240 --> 00:02:49.360
I'm from South Florida, so I'm like, where fuck would

70
00:02:49.400 --> 00:02:50.000
you do that?

71
00:02:50.080 --> 00:02:50.719
And that heat?

72
00:02:50.840 --> 00:02:54.360
I lived near West Palm in my studio is in Wellington.

73
00:02:54.439 --> 00:02:55.919
If you know where Wellington is.

74
00:02:55.840 --> 00:02:58.199
I'm not familiar with, but it's near West Palm. Yeah,

75
00:02:58.199 --> 00:02:59.479
we played a respectable street.

76
00:03:00.080 --> 00:03:03.199
It's one of my favorite places. Now I'll have to

77
00:03:03.199 --> 00:03:05.280
find out the next time you're playing there. If I'm

78
00:03:05.319 --> 00:03:07.039
in town, I'll have to catch you there because I

79
00:03:07.080 --> 00:03:09.439
love last Venue was that cool as help laying that.

80
00:03:09.719 --> 00:03:11.840
Been really close forever ago we were on tour with

81
00:03:12.000 --> 00:03:14.719
Until I Wake Okay, and yeah, just everybody there was

82
00:03:14.800 --> 00:03:16.240
super friendly and it was a really cool time.

83
00:03:16.439 --> 00:03:19.840
Yeah, it's funny because I like the Tampa venues a

84
00:03:19.879 --> 00:03:25.680
lot better, except for respectable like Fort Laurerdale venues. I

85
00:03:25.680 --> 00:03:28.719
don't even like the work of mouns Media like cause there,

86
00:03:28.879 --> 00:03:30.919
I don't like them. But when I go up to Tampa,

87
00:03:31.599 --> 00:03:34.639
it's like, you guys up there welcome people with open arms.

88
00:03:34.800 --> 00:03:36.439
All the crazy people go to Tampa. I feel like

89
00:03:36.439 --> 00:03:39.360
it's a really good, rich music scene. All the craziness

90
00:03:39.400 --> 00:03:40.639
goes into the music and it's right.

91
00:03:40.759 --> 00:03:42.360
It's just like and nobody wants.

92
00:03:42.960 --> 00:03:45.400
Nobody wants to come our away because it's so far away.

93
00:03:45.479 --> 00:03:47.680
So it's like, okay, well say we've been in Florida,

94
00:03:47.759 --> 00:03:48.680
we'll go to Tampa.

95
00:03:48.879 --> 00:03:49.319
There you go.

96
00:03:50.280 --> 00:03:53.280
For the longest time, I associated Tampa as South Florida,

97
00:03:53.360 --> 00:03:55.159
And it wasn't until I started tourning that I was

98
00:03:55.199 --> 00:03:56.599
just sort of like, oh, there's more South.

99
00:03:56.639 --> 00:03:58.879
It's like, I keep going, it's crazy, it's more land.

100
00:03:59.120 --> 00:04:01.599
Totally Like, yeah, I don't like to come down our way,

101
00:04:01.639 --> 00:04:04.960
because unless you have gigs all the way through the state, that's.

102
00:04:04.800 --> 00:04:07.080
A long drive down to go right back up.

103
00:04:07.120 --> 00:04:07.599
And we've done it.

104
00:04:07.680 --> 00:04:09.520
We were on tour with Crown the Empire and we

105
00:04:09.560 --> 00:04:12.680
went clear down to Fort Lauderdale and it was just

106
00:04:12.680 --> 00:04:13.680
to come right back up and go.

107
00:04:13.919 --> 00:04:15.319
I think it was Georgia or something.

108
00:04:15.400 --> 00:04:19.000
And it's the most boring drive too, Like to drive

109
00:04:19.199 --> 00:04:22.519
from ninety five up Florida, you see nothing.

110
00:04:23.240 --> 00:04:25.639
I always hate passing my house because like, like just

111
00:04:25.680 --> 00:04:27.160
knowing full well, I could take a day off and

112
00:04:27.160 --> 00:04:27.720
go to my bed.

113
00:04:27.800 --> 00:04:29.439
I live in Orlando. He lives in Saint Pete's.

114
00:04:29.480 --> 00:04:32.399
So we always whenever we play, like Fort Lauderdale or

115
00:04:32.439 --> 00:04:35.399
West Palm, we always drive past our houses and it

116
00:04:35.519 --> 00:04:37.240
just again it leaves a bad taste in our mouth,

117
00:04:37.279 --> 00:04:39.360
knowing we could have a pillow I we're familiar with.

118
00:04:39.600 --> 00:04:42.480
So how about this so fucking shaw Shank prison? Is

119
00:04:42.519 --> 00:04:44.360
this bad ass to be an incarceration?

120
00:04:44.519 --> 00:04:45.439
Absolutely beautiful?

121
00:04:45.639 --> 00:04:49.079
I mean, like I do all the festivals, I go

122
00:04:49.160 --> 00:04:51.759
into her I just got back from Europe doing festivals there,

123
00:04:51.800 --> 00:04:54.160
and my daughter, she always calls me.

124
00:04:54.319 --> 00:04:56.800
Before festival, So you excited about this festival?

125
00:04:56.800 --> 00:04:59.399
I'm like, well, I've been doing the same festival for

126
00:04:59.519 --> 00:05:01.439
years and I do it every week, So I don't

127
00:05:01.480 --> 00:05:04.519
know if exciting is it, but I love it and

128
00:05:04.560 --> 00:05:07.240
it's fun. The first time I did this festival, I

129
00:05:07.279 --> 00:05:09.240
called her up. I'm like, I'm calling you from the

130
00:05:09.279 --> 00:05:11.040
prison yard of Shawshank Prison.

131
00:05:11.800 --> 00:05:12.600
It's a different vibe.

132
00:05:12.639 --> 00:05:14.319
I mean, as soon as you like drive up, you

133
00:05:14.360 --> 00:05:16.199
see the prison and you're like, okay, this is like

134
00:05:16.560 --> 00:05:18.720
there's some history here, there's some entertainment here.

135
00:05:18.720 --> 00:05:19.800
It's like a different vibe.

136
00:05:20.079 --> 00:05:23.839
So you know, a Killer's Confession is playing this festival

137
00:05:23.879 --> 00:05:27.519
this year. And Waylan, when I interviewed him a few

138
00:05:27.560 --> 00:05:31.560
years back here, he told me about they filmed a

139
00:05:31.759 --> 00:05:36.279
video in the torture room, like because they used to torture

140
00:05:36.279 --> 00:05:40.720
prisoners here, like this prison is really haunted. Yeah, and

141
00:05:41.680 --> 00:05:44.360
he said when he got out of the room after

142
00:05:44.399 --> 00:05:44.920
filming the.

143
00:05:44.920 --> 00:05:47.680
Video, we had like scratches all over his body.

144
00:05:48.120 --> 00:05:48.600
No shit.

145
00:05:48.959 --> 00:05:49.279
Trip.

146
00:05:49.360 --> 00:05:51.160
That's kind of a dream for us is to sort

147
00:05:51.160 --> 00:05:54.199
of tour haunted locations and just make sort of pop

148
00:05:54.279 --> 00:05:56.600
up shows within those haunted locations.

149
00:05:56.680 --> 00:05:58.800
Nice and something like that here, I feel like would

150
00:05:58.800 --> 00:05:59.120
be amazing.

151
00:05:59.160 --> 00:06:01.079
I mean, well, obviously we're doing the festival here, but

152
00:06:01.439 --> 00:06:04.920
even a more intimate show inside the cell block, like.

153
00:06:04.879 --> 00:06:07.399
In a cell in a cell would like I took

154
00:06:07.480 --> 00:06:10.720
pictures of me like taking a crap on Red's toilet

155
00:06:10.879 --> 00:06:15.319
or whatever, you know, and stuff like that toosed I know,

156
00:06:15.439 --> 00:06:19.720
right here and here is what you would have fun with.

157
00:06:19.759 --> 00:06:22.279
What I did one year is I had my helper.

158
00:06:22.319 --> 00:06:25.519
I'm like, okay, We're gonna do some tiktoks. I'm gonna

159
00:06:25.600 --> 00:06:29.720
hide in certain areas while people are going on the tour.

160
00:06:30.160 --> 00:06:32.360
So I did my own thing and they would come in,

161
00:06:32.480 --> 00:06:36.040
they'd look in and I'd fucking scared the ship out

162
00:06:36.040 --> 00:06:38.759
of them, and like they had not because there's like

163
00:06:39.600 --> 00:06:42.680
the wall and stuff like that. Well, you know, you

164
00:06:42.720 --> 00:06:45.000
can get arrested in this prison, do you know how

165
00:06:45.639 --> 00:06:45.920
there is?

166
00:06:46.079 --> 00:06:48.399
Oh, there is an actual detention center out we did

167
00:06:48.399 --> 00:06:50.240
the tourlet right there and yeah, it was like an

168
00:06:50.240 --> 00:06:50.920
actual prison.

169
00:06:51.199 --> 00:06:54.240
So upstairs in the prison there's a window.

170
00:06:54.720 --> 00:06:56.079
Yeah, and it.

171
00:06:55.879 --> 00:06:58.920
Has a sign right there if you take a picture

172
00:06:59.000 --> 00:07:02.040
to fellony, up to five years in prison because it's

173
00:07:02.040 --> 00:07:04.879
the direct onto the prison yard. So like it's like

174
00:07:04.879 --> 00:07:10.920
you're planning an escape. Oh that's interesting, right, We even

175
00:07:11.000 --> 00:07:13.439
got that in media because originally media was going to

176
00:07:13.480 --> 00:07:16.120
be back there, which is closer. And in the media

177
00:07:16.199 --> 00:07:20.000
letter it said don't take any pictures, which.

178
00:07:20.319 --> 00:07:22.319
Begs the question. But they just keep you where you are.

179
00:07:22.360 --> 00:07:23.959
You know, you're in a prison already.

180
00:07:23.680 --> 00:07:27.920
I know, right for five years exactly. But then it's

181
00:07:27.959 --> 00:07:29.720
cool for bands like you.

182
00:07:29.720 --> 00:07:32.680
You could be like Johnny Cash could sometimes the inmates

183
00:07:32.720 --> 00:07:35.759
are out in the yard and you're playing to them.

184
00:07:35.879 --> 00:07:37.120
Being at discs, that's a.

185
00:07:37.040 --> 00:07:39.920
Really cool to be able to hear music in general,

186
00:07:40.120 --> 00:07:43.199
just like right, I can only imagine. I've never been arrested,

187
00:07:43.199 --> 00:07:45.240
but I can only imagine it's not as there's not

188
00:07:45.279 --> 00:07:46.600
a lot of music going around and a lot of

189
00:07:46.600 --> 00:07:47.040
live music.

190
00:07:47.079 --> 00:07:48.600
So I'm sure some stuff like this is really a

191
00:07:48.639 --> 00:07:49.079
nice treat.

192
00:07:49.160 --> 00:07:51.279
Yeah, imagine you're locked up and you write home to

193
00:07:51.319 --> 00:07:51.839
your family.

194
00:07:51.839 --> 00:07:52.720
Oh it's so cool.

195
00:07:52.759 --> 00:07:56.480
Today Incarceration Festival was here and I got to listen

196
00:07:56.519 --> 00:07:57.000
to the whole thing.

197
00:07:57.120 --> 00:07:58.560
Art Divine Band played. I don't know who they are,

198
00:07:58.720 --> 00:07:59.120
I don't like.

199
00:07:59.160 --> 00:08:02.160
Them, but they were really bad ass. I'm really glad

200
00:08:02.279 --> 00:08:02.920
we got to hear them.

201
00:08:02.959 --> 00:08:04.279
Sounded like they wear a stupid makeup.

202
00:08:04.319 --> 00:08:06.600
In fact, when I got out of here, they might

203
00:08:06.600 --> 00:08:07.680
be my next victims.

204
00:08:08.000 --> 00:08:10.360
Yeah, there you go, if we don't get.

205
00:08:10.199 --> 00:08:11.959
To them first, right, there you go.

206
00:08:12.600 --> 00:08:17.759
So for our listeners have never heard your music, how

207
00:08:17.759 --> 00:08:19.360
would you describe your music?

208
00:08:19.399 --> 00:08:21.399
And I don't mean genre because that's bullshit.

209
00:08:21.560 --> 00:08:23.439
No. Yeah, I would say if you've ever been to

210
00:08:23.519 --> 00:08:26.759
a Haunts, if you've ever been to Halloween horrnites, we're Orlando, Like,

211
00:08:26.800 --> 00:08:29.199
we hang out in Orlando, I live in Orlando. Were

212
00:08:29.319 --> 00:08:33.120
very frequent Halloween horrnites, right, visitors. I would say the

213
00:08:33.200 --> 00:08:34.960
soundtrack to that is kind of.

214
00:08:34.879 --> 00:08:38.000
The vibe we try to give off. We're avid horror lovers.

215
00:08:38.039 --> 00:08:40.960
We're very big Halloween fans in general, and we've just

216
00:08:41.039 --> 00:08:41.960
crafted our identity.

217
00:08:42.000 --> 00:08:43.240
Anytime we weren't talking about music.

218
00:08:43.279 --> 00:08:45.879
When we first started the band, it was always just

219
00:08:45.879 --> 00:08:49.960
horror movies, Halloween, Halloween horranites, spooky culture all around, going

220
00:08:50.000 --> 00:08:53.000
to conventions and it's just a love of that culture

221
00:08:53.039 --> 00:08:56.200
and that, just like Universe, it just kind of spawned

222
00:08:56.240 --> 00:08:58.679
our band. And yeah, we're just we're spooky kids who

223
00:08:58.679 --> 00:09:00.000
make music for spooky kids.

224
00:09:00.080 --> 00:09:02.480
See now you gave me an idea, like if you

225
00:09:02.480 --> 00:09:05.240
play a festival or a tour with Ice nine Kills,

226
00:09:05.879 --> 00:09:09.240
you could come out and scared of shit at Spencer

227
00:09:09.320 --> 00:09:10.559
and try to you know, we.

228
00:09:11.840 --> 00:09:13.600
Were just on tour with them not so long ago,

229
00:09:13.639 --> 00:09:15.159
and yeah, it's a good idea if we ever do

230
00:09:15.200 --> 00:09:16.039
it again, I off to try.

231
00:09:15.879 --> 00:09:17.960
It, Like you see, you should have done that, just

232
00:09:18.000 --> 00:09:22.080
like randomly just run out on the don't.

233
00:09:21.919 --> 00:09:23.519
Be a sure way to get kicked off a tour,

234
00:09:23.559 --> 00:09:23.879
I believe.

235
00:09:23.919 --> 00:09:26.200
I know right, you'll have to prep it with Spencer

236
00:09:26.240 --> 00:09:28.399
ahead of time. But make it look like you just

237
00:09:28.519 --> 00:09:31.039
ran out on stage and attacked him, scream at him.

238
00:09:31.120 --> 00:09:34.759
Know it happens precaution of the wind. That's how that's

239
00:09:34.559 --> 00:09:35.039
get done.

240
00:09:35.200 --> 00:09:39.720
Halloween Horror Nights, Man, that is the most badass like anywhere.

241
00:09:39.799 --> 00:09:42.440
I've been to a lot of haunted stuff, and that

242
00:09:42.679 --> 00:09:45.960
is the most badass anywhere. They should have you guys,

243
00:09:46.039 --> 00:09:47.720
like just play there all the time.

244
00:09:47.960 --> 00:09:50.000
We've talked about that, and we're at this point, we're

245
00:09:50.039 --> 00:09:52.919
just trying to talk it into existence. Like every post

246
00:09:52.919 --> 00:09:55.879
they make on social media, we're commenting, trying to get them.

247
00:09:55.679 --> 00:09:58.039
To know our name. At this point, it's like, hey, Hi,

248
00:09:58.159 --> 00:09:58.799
we're Halloween.

249
00:09:58.960 --> 00:10:01.000
Now I'll do that too. We've just got a whole

250
00:10:01.039 --> 00:10:02.399
crowd of people doing it.

251
00:10:02.320 --> 00:10:03.440
Not at Halloween Horry Nights.

252
00:10:03.480 --> 00:10:05.480
But we did find out that our music was being

253
00:10:05.480 --> 00:10:08.480
played at Hollow Scream in Bush Gardens prints Kampa. They

254
00:10:08.480 --> 00:10:11.399
were playing it just in the walking space between houses,

255
00:10:11.799 --> 00:10:13.600
and yeah, our music was being played. We didn't know that,

256
00:10:13.639 --> 00:10:16.360
and that's a surreal moment, especially to find out from

257
00:10:16.399 --> 00:10:18.919
fans were just like, hey, we heard your song as

258
00:10:18.960 --> 00:10:20.320
we were walking through a hundred houses.

259
00:10:20.639 --> 00:10:21.120
That's cool.

260
00:10:21.600 --> 00:10:24.399
So I know the guy that runs the one that's

261
00:10:24.559 --> 00:10:28.399
in West Palm Beach, Okay, And it's pretty big too,

262
00:10:28.440 --> 00:10:30.879
not like a land though, but it's pretty big. So

263
00:10:31.200 --> 00:10:33.360
I'll have to try and connect you guys and see

264
00:10:33.360 --> 00:10:35.960
if I can get you in there, because like maybe

265
00:10:36.000 --> 00:10:38.960
that'll be a stepping stone to Halloween Horror Nights.

266
00:10:39.039 --> 00:10:41.159
We've talked about trying to do like a big Halloween,

267
00:10:41.639 --> 00:10:43.840
just like a Halloween blowout and it's a Halloween show,

268
00:10:43.919 --> 00:10:46.720
like just to celebrate the season and just do like

269
00:10:46.759 --> 00:10:49.000
a big show just a headline and just make shows

270
00:10:49.000 --> 00:10:51.919
for spooky kids and nice. Doing something out of Halloween

271
00:10:51.960 --> 00:10:53.799
horrn nits or like a hounted house thing in general

272
00:10:53.879 --> 00:10:54.360
be amazing.

273
00:10:54.480 --> 00:10:55.240
You know what you should do?

274
00:10:55.279 --> 00:10:57.240
You should do what Silly Goose did to get on

275
00:10:57.320 --> 00:10:58.519
DWP festivals.

276
00:10:58.600 --> 00:10:59.240
You know that band.

277
00:10:59.320 --> 00:11:01.440
Yeah, they did play the parking lot and I think it.

278
00:11:01.440 --> 00:11:06.279
Was here actually, and I remember like they were out

279
00:11:06.320 --> 00:11:11.159
in the parking lot they were doing their Invasion tour. Yeah,

280
00:11:11.159 --> 00:11:14.440
and Danny Wimmer was standing out there watching them.

281
00:11:14.720 --> 00:11:16.799
And then they played on the stage the next day.

282
00:11:16.840 --> 00:11:20.679
A real estate that right, So do that at Halloween

283
00:11:20.759 --> 00:11:21.440
Horror Nights.

284
00:11:21.799 --> 00:11:23.840
Remember the night was ending.

285
00:11:23.840 --> 00:11:26.279
We played here last year and when we were going

286
00:11:26.320 --> 00:11:29.039
back to our van, we heard all of the commotion

287
00:11:29.159 --> 00:11:31.799
that was going on in the parking lot. Somebody somewhere

288
00:11:31.919 --> 00:11:33.360
like got to take a picture. It was like, Oh,

289
00:11:33.399 --> 00:11:35.600
it's that band that's playing in the parking lot right now.

290
00:11:35.799 --> 00:11:37.000
So like this is just kind of a band that

291
00:11:37.039 --> 00:11:39.639
you hear about in like the ether. It's like I

292
00:11:39.679 --> 00:11:41.080
became a fan as soon as I kind of saw

293
00:11:41.120 --> 00:11:42.120
their mo and just sort of.

294
00:11:42.080 --> 00:11:44.080
Like showing up and just doing it.

295
00:11:43.919 --> 00:11:46.600
This total old school like for my day, that's what

296
00:11:46.759 --> 00:11:48.720
bands did, you know all the time.

297
00:11:48.840 --> 00:11:49.879
I love that so much.

298
00:11:50.320 --> 00:11:51.879
That's what we'll do at the next haunt. We'll just

299
00:11:51.919 --> 00:11:53.519
pull up in our van and just start geting.

300
00:11:53.559 --> 00:11:55.519
That's what I'm saying. You could do a tour because

301
00:11:55.519 --> 00:11:58.240
that's what they were doing. They were touring doing that

302
00:11:58.320 --> 00:12:01.320
at all kinds of festivals. You could just tour and

303
00:12:01.360 --> 00:12:02.600
go to every haunt.

304
00:12:03.080 --> 00:12:04.919
We'll just set up shop in their parking lot.

305
00:12:05.159 --> 00:12:08.080
Right, and then who knows like and do it at

306
00:12:08.080 --> 00:12:09.200
Alvin horror nights.

307
00:12:09.799 --> 00:12:10.919
What's the worst that can happen?

308
00:12:10.960 --> 00:12:13.559
They say goodbye, they're getting arrested. It wouldn't be great.

309
00:12:13.799 --> 00:12:16.039
Well, that wouldn't be good, Chrispass wouldn't be But you

310
00:12:16.039 --> 00:12:19.600
know either, Look some of the greats, Jim Morrison, Ozzy,

311
00:12:20.440 --> 00:12:21.600
they all got arrested.

312
00:12:21.720 --> 00:12:23.919
So maybe that is Wendyo Williams.

313
00:12:24.279 --> 00:12:25.440
I think we need to get arrested.

314
00:12:25.720 --> 00:12:28.080
Yeah, that that might you first, all right, that might

315
00:12:28.120 --> 00:12:30.120
be the your future success.

316
00:12:30.279 --> 00:12:32.240
All right, Well, if if I ever get arrested, just

317
00:12:32.279 --> 00:12:33.279
know it's because of this interview.

318
00:12:33.759 --> 00:12:34.879
Right, I'll bail you out.

319
00:12:34.960 --> 00:12:36.039
Thank you, buddy, I appreciate it.

320
00:12:36.080 --> 00:12:37.960
I think my station will have to bail you out

321
00:12:37.960 --> 00:12:40.279
because I came up with the idea. There you go,

322
00:12:41.559 --> 00:12:43.879
anything else you want to tell the listeners that you

323
00:12:43.919 --> 00:12:45.639
have going on that they need to know about.

324
00:12:45.799 --> 00:12:47.799
Yeah, So we're currently on the summer of loud tour

325
00:12:47.960 --> 00:12:50.919
with I Prevail Bear Tooth kill Switch, Engage and Parkway

326
00:12:51.000 --> 00:12:53.440
Drive and a slew of other bands, and we're super

327
00:12:53.480 --> 00:12:54.960
excited to beyond that. We're about to go on tour

328

with Blest the Fall, color Blinds and Miss may I.

329
00:12:59.000 --> 00:13:00.120
And we're excited. That's I mean.

330
00:13:00.120 --> 00:13:01.960
In September, we're very excited about that. We just dropped

331
00:13:02.000 --> 00:13:04.759
a single today called Better Start Digging. Played it tonight

332
00:13:04.960 --> 00:13:09.120
or today and it's just played at eleven. Yeah, I

333
00:13:09.240 --> 00:13:10.519
used to playing in the morning, but it was an

334
00:13:10.600 --> 00:13:13.080
amazing Better Start Digging just release today.

335
00:13:12.919 --> 00:13:15.399
Available on all social media. Are all streaming platforms.

336
00:13:16.039 --> 00:13:18.679
Nice and tell everybody they reach out to you guys

337
00:13:18.759 --> 00:13:20.720
on socials on the web by.

338
00:13:22.720 --> 00:13:24.519
Just find out where we live and just find our house. No,

339
00:13:24.600 --> 00:13:26.960
don't actually that we have a website. We're available on

340
00:13:27.000 --> 00:13:28.879
all social media. We try to sell merch at every

341
00:13:28.879 --> 00:13:31.039
show we play, and we try to have new merch at.

342
00:13:30.960 --> 00:13:31.519
Every tour we do.

343
00:13:31.840 --> 00:13:33.919
Yeah, they have to buy merch or they can't listen

344
00:13:34.000 --> 00:13:35.639
to my show because that's the only way you get

345
00:13:35.639 --> 00:13:36.360
to the next show.

346
00:13:36.559 --> 00:13:38.279
Well, I appreciate you doing that for us.

347
00:13:38.279 --> 00:13:40.360
And I bet you guys have badass merch.

348
00:13:41.240 --> 00:13:42.799
We're pretty proud of it. We've had some really.

349
00:13:42.720 --> 00:13:44.799
Cool what's your favorite? What's your favorite?

350
00:13:44.919 --> 00:13:46.480
I'll let you take this one because you came up

351
00:13:46.480 --> 00:13:47.240
with the idea.

352
00:13:47.000 --> 00:13:49.879
Our scarecrow shirt just was like, it'd be really cool

353
00:13:49.879 --> 00:13:51.799
to do, like a shirt with a scarecrow and like

354
00:13:51.799 --> 00:13:55.000
a cornfield, but the scarecrow is like alive, and we

355
00:13:55.080 --> 00:13:57.000
came up with that design and it's been our best

356
00:13:57.000 --> 00:13:57.639
seller so far.

357
00:13:57.879 --> 00:14:01.120
Love it so well, that's cool. I'm so glad you're

358
00:14:01.159 --> 00:14:04.559
here at incarceration. Perfect place for you guys to play.

359
00:14:04.919 --> 00:14:07.440
Hell yeah, and thanks for being on the Adventures of Patement.
