PipemanRadio Interviews Ogun at Bloodstock Open Air 2025.

The Pipeman Radio tour landed at The UK’s biggest independent metal festival featuring not only some of the biggest bands in Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, but also some of the best emerging metal music out of the UK and Europe competing in Metal 2 The Masses for a spot to play on New Blood Stage.  The festival also features The Sophie Lancaster Stage dedicated to the memory of Sophie being brutally beaten and murdered just for being Goth and different.  Sophie’s story particularly resonating with anyone who has been bullied, abused, or attacked for simply being who they are.  The mission of The Sophie Lancaster Foundation is to stamp out prejudice, hatred and intolerance everywhere.  This festival is more than just great music, fun, awareness, and togetherness.  It's a family driven DIY Festival that cares where there ar eno outsiders. We join together for a common cause.

Next year is the 25th Anniversary.  Get your tickets now at https://www.bloodstock.uk.com/  #BOA26 6th - 9th August 2026, Catton Park, Derbyshire

00:00:04.360 --> 00:00:07.440
Hey you unto Yes, that's shirt.

2
00:00:08.759 --> 00:00:13.720
W cra you you.

3
00:00:15.759 --> 00:00:18.039
This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures Pipe

4
00:00:18.039 --> 00:00:20.280
Man W four c Y Radio and I'm here.

5
00:00:20.120 --> 00:00:24.519
With and Johnny from Neil from Ogan.

6
00:00:25.160 --> 00:00:27.519
I like how your hat matches the Ogan shirt.

7
00:00:28.199 --> 00:00:31.480
Thanks Tony much color coordinated today.

8
00:00:31.640 --> 00:00:33.920
I know right, you need to put like an Ogan

9
00:00:34.119 --> 00:00:37.479
patch on the hat.

10
00:00:39.719 --> 00:00:42.000
And that's a cool Ogan shirt too. Yeah.

11
00:00:42.039 --> 00:00:43.679
I'd like to say that he planned that, but he

12
00:00:43.719 --> 00:00:46.439
didn't see if the first person pointed out, I know right.

13
00:00:47.920 --> 00:00:49.799
And of course Black Sabbath.

14
00:00:49.880 --> 00:00:51.840
How can you not wait to block Sabbath? You know

15
00:00:51.880 --> 00:00:52.280
what I mean?

16
00:00:52.759 --> 00:00:55.719
The first two days of festival had Black Sabage shirts.

17
00:00:55.759 --> 00:01:00.359
On first day was it looks like the original album,

18
00:01:00.439 --> 00:01:04.000
the original Black Sabbath album. And yesterday when I got

19
00:01:04.000 --> 00:01:06.879
that download that they're selling here too, it's like a

20
00:01:07.000 --> 00:01:11.239
tied eye purple and pink with picture of Sabbath.

21
00:01:11.280 --> 00:01:12.319
It's pretty fucking cool.

22
00:01:12.400 --> 00:01:15.159
Yeah, sounds awesome, right, you could you got there, you

23
00:01:15.159 --> 00:01:18.480
could see it. But yeah, Black Sabbath man, can you

24
00:01:18.560 --> 00:01:21.040
believe we just saw their final show ever?

25
00:01:21.680 --> 00:01:24.879
Yeah, it's kind of unbelievable to just come to terms

26
00:01:24.879 --> 00:01:26.840
that Ozzie's no longer with us. He's no longer parts

27
00:01:26.840 --> 00:01:29.359
of this well, but he's left such a legacy of

28
00:01:29.439 --> 00:01:32.120
music with Sabbath and his solo stuff as well. So

29
00:01:33.200 --> 00:01:35.040
that's all we can do now, just listen back to

30
00:01:35.079 --> 00:01:37.040
that and remember the good times. And everyone's got a

31
00:01:37.040 --> 00:01:40.079
Sabbath story. Everyone's got a story about how Ozzy's changed

32
00:01:40.079 --> 00:01:42.719
their life. So even yourself, you weard in some mil

33
00:01:42.760 --> 00:01:44.560
you look in sunglasses.

34
00:01:44.120 --> 00:01:44.879
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

35
00:01:45.040 --> 00:01:48.319
You know It's funny, is I've had these sunglasses for

36
00:01:48.400 --> 00:01:51.239
years and I always call them my John Lennon glasses.

37
00:01:51.680 --> 00:01:54.159
And then, like I don't know, like a year ago,

38
00:01:54.319 --> 00:01:56.599
I was look at stuff. I'm like, wait a minute,

39
00:01:57.000 --> 00:01:58.439
they're aussy glasses.

40
00:01:59.239 --> 00:02:01.359
Well being Sky, we'll take both answers.

41
00:02:01.519 --> 00:02:05.079
I know, right, I do have quite a few Zsi

42
00:02:05.200 --> 00:02:08.280
stories for sure, because I saw him live every year

43
00:02:08.319 --> 00:02:14.800
since nineteen eighty, including with Randy Rhodes. Fantastic, And I

44
00:02:14.840 --> 00:02:18.280
think there's everybody here at Bloodstock, in every part of

45
00:02:18.319 --> 00:02:22.159
Bloodstock that is here because of Sabbath.

46
00:02:21.719 --> 00:02:23.400
And Zsie one hundred percent.

47
00:02:23.840 --> 00:02:27.560
Let's hear you guys first, AZZI your Sabbath stories.

48
00:02:28.639 --> 00:02:31.400
So I fast saw Black Sabbath, I guess in a

49
00:02:31.560 --> 00:02:34.639
two thousand and five at Download Festival. I was actually

50
00:02:34.680 --> 00:02:36.759
in the signing tents with in Flames at the time,

51
00:02:36.840 --> 00:02:39.520
speaking Sanders, trying to get some stuff signed because I

52
00:02:39.520 --> 00:02:42.199
absolutely loved that band, and it was getting told off

53
00:02:42.240 --> 00:02:44.240
by them because they were like, Black Sabbath are about

54
00:02:44.280 --> 00:02:46.439
to start on the main stage. I was like, don't worry,

55
00:02:46.439 --> 00:02:47.520
I'm getting ready to run.

56
00:02:47.639 --> 00:02:50.599
That was my first time to see them, but yeah, nice.

57
00:02:50.840 --> 00:02:52.439
I don't really have any AUSSI stories.

58
00:02:52.560 --> 00:02:54.479
Unfortunately, I never got the chance to see him live

59
00:02:55.240 --> 00:02:57.159
though I was obsessed with him as a teenager. I

60
00:02:57.280 --> 00:02:58.840
just used to listen to them all the time and

61
00:02:59.199 --> 00:03:02.240
massive inspiration on me. I'll see I'm Black Sabbath, like,

62
00:03:02.360 --> 00:03:04.120
just huge inspiration.

63
00:03:04.800 --> 00:03:05.560
I've never seen.

64
00:03:05.719 --> 00:03:08.120
I never got the chance to see him live, unfortunately,

65
00:03:08.199 --> 00:03:11.520
but massive as he found because he always had amazing

66
00:03:11.560 --> 00:03:15.240
guitar players and I'm a guitar player, so big inspiration

67
00:03:15.439 --> 00:03:19.840
with Zack Wilde and Randy Rhodes and Jakie Lee. So

68
00:03:19.919 --> 00:03:21.840
I always listened to him. A massive fan. But as

69
00:03:21.840 --> 00:03:23.759
I say, sadly never got to see them live.

70
00:03:24.080 --> 00:03:26.599
And how cool was it that Jakie Lee was at

71
00:03:26.599 --> 00:03:29.919
the final performance? You know, back to the game Jakie

72
00:03:29.960 --> 00:03:33.960
Lee performing like that blew my mind that he got

73
00:03:33.960 --> 00:03:36.960
invited to do it. They aren't spoken in god knows

74
00:03:37.000 --> 00:03:37.680
how many years.

75
00:03:37.759 --> 00:03:40.280
Yeah, I think they's fallen out with Sharon Adive over

76
00:03:40.400 --> 00:03:42.960
like previous things to do with the guitar riffs and

77
00:03:43.479 --> 00:03:45.759
royalties and all that good stuff. But yeah, it's good

78
00:03:45.759 --> 00:03:47.719
that he closed a few doors before he's closed the

79
00:03:47.719 --> 00:03:48.800
final one on himself.

80
00:03:48.919 --> 00:03:54.080
Yeah, totally. So how has your experience at Bloodstart been

81
00:03:54.240 --> 00:03:54.639
so far?

82
00:03:55.439 --> 00:03:58.639
It's absolutely epic as always Bloodstock and what a festival.

83
00:03:58.719 --> 00:04:01.719
It just feels like a real cool, family run place.

84
00:04:02.000 --> 00:04:04.000
A little bit busier this year, it has to be said,

85
00:04:04.280 --> 00:04:07.080
with the sellouts, whether or not the undrop capacity next

86
00:04:07.120 --> 00:04:09.400
year or keep it as is. Either way, it's still

87
00:04:09.479 --> 00:04:11.080
an absolutely epic experience.

88
00:04:11.159 --> 00:04:11.879
It's not my.

89
00:04:11.879 --> 00:04:14.439
Face rodeo, but it is their face rodeo, so I'll

90
00:04:14.479 --> 00:04:16.319
let them have a few words.

91
00:04:16.519 --> 00:04:19.519
Yeah, it's my first time with Bloodstock, actually real first time,

92
00:04:19.560 --> 00:04:22.879
and we played yesterday, so that's just like crazy.

93
00:04:23.040 --> 00:04:23.959
What was it like real?

94
00:04:24.160 --> 00:04:25.600
What was it like playing?

95
00:04:25.839 --> 00:04:28.480
I think it's it's even now. It's still hard to describe,

96
00:04:28.639 --> 00:04:31.439
to be honest. It was just overwhelming, just incredibly had

97
00:04:31.480 --> 00:04:33.560
a full room and the new Blood scent.

98
00:04:34.120 --> 00:04:36.399
You didn't even expect that, did you.

99
00:04:36.160 --> 00:04:36.680
Not at all.

100
00:04:37.000 --> 00:04:39.319
I mean we were hoping for as much pete as

101
00:04:39.319 --> 00:04:40.319
many people as possible.

102
00:04:40.319 --> 00:04:42.000
We never could have dreamed of fill in the place.

103
00:04:42.040 --> 00:04:45.920
It was just absolutely crazy And yeah, it's just proper

104
00:04:46.079 --> 00:04:47.800
dream stuff for dreams.

105
00:04:47.839 --> 00:04:53.680
Basically, that's what I love about Bloodstock is because it's DIY,

106
00:04:54.160 --> 00:04:58.319
because of Metal to the Masses. They really promote the

107
00:04:58.360 --> 00:05:02.000
bands that are starting at out younger that don't have

108
00:05:02.199 --> 00:05:07.879
exposure all those things, and they make that the big deal.

109
00:05:08.120 --> 00:05:10.519
Yeah yeah, yeah, sure, Yeah, that's an excellent thing that

110
00:05:10.560 --> 00:05:13.199
they've got in place for newer bands to try the

111
00:05:13.240 --> 00:05:15.879
stuff out for a new audience of Bloodstock. That's just

112
00:05:16.000 --> 00:05:19.120
absolutely amazing and long may continue. So we had a

113
00:05:19.120 --> 00:05:21.480
hell of a time, hell of an experience. We just

114
00:05:21.519 --> 00:05:23.519
want you know that to keep going.

115
00:05:24.120 --> 00:05:27.720
Tell us about your road to Bloodstock. Tell us how

116
00:05:27.839 --> 00:05:30.240
you ended up on that New Blood stage.

117
00:05:30.560 --> 00:05:32.879
We were the winners of the Mazy side Metal to

118
00:05:32.920 --> 00:05:34.720
the Masses. We had a tough route to the final

119
00:05:34.759 --> 00:05:36.879
with a lot of talented bands out of the city

120
00:05:36.879 --> 00:05:40.920
of Liverpool and the surrounding regions. We had both heats

121
00:05:40.920 --> 00:05:43.600
that we went through before winning obviously the final, the

122
00:05:43.639 --> 00:05:46.360
anticipation was absolutely insane when we were in there just

123
00:05:46.360 --> 00:05:48.279
waiting to hear the results. It was sound by our

124
00:05:48.279 --> 00:05:50.160
good friend Coop from the Spoken Metal show.

125
00:05:50.759 --> 00:05:53.199
Prior to that, we already had this the crowd.

126
00:05:52.959 --> 00:05:55.759
Chanting our name, Ogan Ogan, So if we didn't win,

127
00:05:55.800 --> 00:05:57.720
that would have been really embarrassing for us. You know,

128
00:05:57.759 --> 00:06:01.360
we'll just be like standing there like all expectations. But yeah,

129
00:06:01.399 --> 00:06:03.319
it still didn't. Also, the fact that as soon as

130
00:06:03.360 --> 00:06:05.920
your name was officially announced that you are winning, you

131
00:06:05.959 --> 00:06:08.160
are going to play Bloodstock at the New Blood stage

132
00:06:08.720 --> 00:06:09.759
absolutely phenomenal.

133
00:06:10.399 --> 00:06:14.160
It's like a common theme too, go ahead. It's like

134
00:06:14.199 --> 00:06:18.879
a common theme about Bloodstock and metal to the masses.

135
00:06:19.000 --> 00:06:21.800
Like most of the bands I've talked to, all the

136
00:06:21.839 --> 00:06:25.800
bands I've talked to, they none of them expected to win,

137
00:06:26.519 --> 00:06:27.680
and those are the winners.

138
00:06:28.519 --> 00:06:32.759
Well, it's an amazing experience for us and we were

139
00:06:32.800 --> 00:06:36.319
thrilled to get through the final and actually being is

140
00:06:36.360 --> 00:06:38.959
the team come true? Really, as Danny said, I don't

141
00:06:39.000 --> 00:06:42.199
think it's actually sank in that we've actually played. It

142
00:06:42.279 --> 00:06:44.720
was such a great gig as well. The sound was great,

143
00:06:44.800 --> 00:06:47.800
the crowd was great, and we've thoroughly enjoyed it, but

144
00:06:47.920 --> 00:06:50.920
hopefully we'll get to play again at some point.

145
00:06:51.199 --> 00:06:53.160
I think you will. I think you will.

146
00:06:53.279 --> 00:06:55.480
Yeah, just looking at the limited media that we've see

147
00:06:55.480 --> 00:06:58.040
in from our friends on their phone because obviously there's

148
00:06:58.040 --> 00:07:00.720
no signal of Bloodstock to send these he goes around.

149
00:07:01.120 --> 00:07:04.199
The tent was absolutely parked, and the sounders Neil's just

150
00:07:04.319 --> 00:07:06.360
mentioned was absolutely immaculate.

151
00:07:07.519 --> 00:07:12.800
What would you say is your favorite experience besides playing,

152
00:07:13.879 --> 00:07:15.480
of being here at Bloodstock.

153
00:07:17.399 --> 00:07:20.360
My experience for me personally is seeing a lot of

154
00:07:20.360 --> 00:07:22.759
people that just recognize me now from the band that

155
00:07:22.839 --> 00:07:25.439
was just played, and all my friends around the country

156
00:07:25.439 --> 00:07:27.920
who attend this festival year on year. It's a great

157
00:07:27.920 --> 00:07:30.519
time to see them all, hang out, give them a cuddle,

158
00:07:30.959 --> 00:07:33.120
have a good a few beers, you know how we goes,

159
00:07:33.199 --> 00:07:38.000
Just party and enjoy yourself. Basically that's me yourself done well.

160
00:07:38.040 --> 00:07:40.439
I mean, this is my first festival in about fifteen years.

161
00:07:40.920 --> 00:07:41.680
Last time I went.

162
00:07:41.560 --> 00:07:45.439
To a festival was Downloads to twenty ten by Definite DC,

163
00:07:45.560 --> 00:07:47.399
ere A Smith all that kind of stuff. So just

164
00:07:47.399 --> 00:07:49.480
to be at a festival against the all our friends

165
00:07:49.480 --> 00:07:54.560
and stuff, obviously playing and then all of the like photos, videos,

166
00:07:54.560 --> 00:07:56.879
are friends and people who've been to see has been sharing.

167
00:07:57.240 --> 00:07:59.920
Like Andy said, walking around people are stopping you say,

168
00:08:00.079 --> 00:08:02.000
and you play great, your guys were amazing.

169
00:08:02.360 --> 00:08:04.920
That kind of thing. It's just it's just mental. It's

170
00:08:04.920 --> 00:08:06.800
absolutely mental, you know.

171
00:08:06.920 --> 00:08:10.480
We Actually another little crazy thing that happened was this

172
00:08:10.560 --> 00:08:13.120
morning somebody tagged us on Instagram and we were on

173
00:08:13.199 --> 00:08:17.279
BBC News Harborshire was a whole expo about Ozzy Osbourne

174
00:08:17.399 --> 00:08:18.279
and about Bloodstock.

175
00:08:18.360 --> 00:08:19.879
They were covering Bloodstock.

176
00:08:19.480 --> 00:08:22.639
Festival and like just interviewing people from all around the

177
00:08:22.639 --> 00:08:25.199
site and then suddenly there was a clip of a

178
00:08:25.240 --> 00:08:26.120
band playing.

179
00:08:25.839 --> 00:08:26.399
And it was us.

180
00:08:26.680 --> 00:08:29.600
Woweo like a short clip of Antsy and a bit

181
00:08:29.600 --> 00:08:31.199
of one of our songs, and we were just like,

182
00:08:31.759 --> 00:08:35.279
what the hell, what the actual hell is that? That's

183
00:08:35.399 --> 00:08:39.120
that's absolutely incredible, Like so I think that it's probably

184
00:08:39.120 --> 00:08:39.879
the highlight for me.

185
00:08:40.320 --> 00:08:42.799
That's probably the like that's amazing.

186
00:08:43.080 --> 00:08:46.960
Other than playing, of course, how about you, Well, just

187
00:08:47.039 --> 00:08:50.000
the whole vibe of the festival really there's different places

188
00:08:50.000 --> 00:08:50.279
you can go.

189
00:08:50.320 --> 00:08:51.919
If you want to chill, you can go someplace.

190
00:08:52.000 --> 00:08:54.440
If you want to go crazy with some heavy metal,

191
00:08:54.480 --> 00:08:57.679
you go to this tent, you know. So and if

192
00:08:57.720 --> 00:08:59.440
you want to get some food, you know that that's

193
00:08:59.480 --> 00:09:02.360
great as well. So it's nice being able to experience

194
00:09:02.399 --> 00:09:03.320
the whole festival.

195
00:09:03.399 --> 00:09:06.440
Really you could go get some Yorkshire pudding and.

196
00:09:08.000 --> 00:09:09.159
Pizza, which I love.

197
00:09:10.399 --> 00:09:11.559
You're putting the heavy.

198
00:09:11.320 --> 00:09:17.279
Metal, yes, So what else do you want the lizeners

199
00:09:17.320 --> 00:09:19.759
to know about you guys that's coming up in the

200
00:09:19.840 --> 00:09:22.480
future or whatever that they should look out for, and

201
00:09:22.600 --> 00:09:25.759
also give them your socials. Tell them out by your merch.

202
00:09:25.840 --> 00:09:27.480
They can't listen to my show and let's say buy

203
00:09:27.519 --> 00:09:27.879
your merch.

204
00:09:27.960 --> 00:09:30.960
Yeah, of course I've got bad Thanks so much so.

205
00:09:31.039 --> 00:09:33.840
All the socials are probably best access through our link tree,

206
00:09:34.039 --> 00:09:36.840
which is just a link tree lit url Forward, slash

207
00:09:36.879 --> 00:09:40.159
Ogan Underscore Liverpool, that's O g u N. They can

208
00:09:40.240 --> 00:09:43.120
find absolutely everything there with regards to our gigs and

209
00:09:43.159 --> 00:09:45.720
also our mechent ice. But to talk on the gigs

210
00:09:45.720 --> 00:09:48.120
that are coming up with supporting the troops are Doom

211
00:09:48.559 --> 00:09:50.559
on four days of the UK tour with our good

212
00:09:50.559 --> 00:09:53.080
friends and Devil's Henchmen who are doing the full tour

213
00:09:53.120 --> 00:09:55.080
with them. So that's going to be really good going

214
00:09:55.120 --> 00:09:57.000
on tour with your mates and also an ex member

215
00:09:57.039 --> 00:09:58.200
of someone from sepulchora.

216
00:09:58.679 --> 00:09:59.679
What more do you want with that?

217
00:10:00.080 --> 00:10:03.159
There's also a local event in Liverpool called Scouts of Heaven,

218
00:10:03.399 --> 00:10:05.279
that bit of a play on words for the Sligher song,

219
00:10:05.799 --> 00:10:07.840
and that's going to be a non profit event. That's

220
00:10:07.840 --> 00:10:10.559
going to be a yearly metal event in Liverpool. So

221
00:10:10.679 --> 00:10:14.000
that is going to be absolutely amazing and hopefully that

222
00:10:14.039 --> 00:10:15.919
will grow and go from strength to strength and year

223
00:10:15.960 --> 00:10:18.320
on year because heavy metal is just alive and well

224
00:10:18.360 --> 00:10:20.000
in our city despite what people say.

225
00:10:20.879 --> 00:10:24.200
And since you're from Liverpool, I have a trivia question

226
00:10:24.360 --> 00:10:29.559
for you, a trivia question, he.

227
00:10:29.600 --> 00:10:31.399
Said, trivia question. I was like, I'm going to be

228
00:10:31.679 --> 00:10:32.440
Scout sosally.

229
00:10:32.679 --> 00:10:36.960
Yeah, they're from my neca of words, not Liverpool. Okay,

230
00:10:38.159 --> 00:10:44.120
what famous Bassis never was supposed to be a basis.

231
00:10:44.159 --> 00:10:47.120
He was actually a guitarist and he drew the short

232
00:10:47.200 --> 00:10:50.639
straw and ended up having to be the basis.

233
00:10:50.879 --> 00:10:53.240
Paul McCartney, there it is, let's go.

234
00:10:53.559 --> 00:10:57.000
I gave you the Liverpool hint because most people don't

235
00:10:57.000 --> 00:11:00.480
guess it now. People when they lit when I say that,

236
00:11:00.639 --> 00:11:03.240
they listen you could hear he's playing in the bass

237
00:11:03.279 --> 00:11:08.159
like a guitar. So it's pretty amazing. All three of them,

238
00:11:08.159 --> 00:11:12.000
and he was the one. Okay, I'll have to play bass.

239
00:11:12.799 --> 00:11:15.039
Rock and roll to see what you gotta do.

240
00:11:15.080 --> 00:11:18.159
An't yet if it means being a Bassis, then saddy Joe.

241
00:11:18.559 --> 00:11:22.799
Hey, if you're a bit, there's worse things in the

242
00:11:22.799 --> 00:11:25.759
world than ending up having be the basis of the Beatles.

243
00:11:26.159 --> 00:11:27.559
That is also very true.

244
00:11:27.919 --> 00:11:30.480
The Beatles are one of the reasons I'm here today.

245
00:11:30.960 --> 00:11:31.759
I love them.

246
00:11:31.799 --> 00:11:36.080
I was obsessed Wilmson's first grade and Ozzy was obsessed

247
00:11:36.120 --> 00:11:36.879
with the Beatles.

248
00:11:37.120 --> 00:11:40.279
Yeah. Absolutely, Honestly, it is snowdated to influence a lot

249
00:11:40.279 --> 00:11:43.320
of bonds that then went on to influence our generation

250
00:11:43.440 --> 00:11:43.759
as well.

251
00:11:43.799 --> 00:11:47.720
So so I mean, maybe people could argue that the

252
00:11:47.720 --> 00:11:49.240
Beatles started heavy metal.

253
00:11:50.759 --> 00:11:52.879
That's a long shop, but we'll go for it, all right.

254
00:11:53.159 --> 00:11:54.240
That'd be so funny.

255
00:11:54.600 --> 00:11:57.600
I actually had a scenario where a Carmine A Piece

256
00:11:57.639 --> 00:12:01.120
I did an interview and he said, I don't think

257
00:12:01.159 --> 00:12:02.720
Black Sabbaths to start at eavy metal.

258
00:12:02.799 --> 00:12:06.960
I think Metallica did. And that interview went.

259
00:12:07.000 --> 00:12:10.600
Viral because like, what the fuck do you mean Black

260
00:12:10.679 --> 00:12:12.440
Sabbath didn't start metal?

261
00:12:13.159 --> 00:12:16.519
I mean, yeah, that's just crazy. You could argue many sources,

262
00:12:16.519 --> 00:12:19.320
but it's gotta be, you know, Tony Iomi and Asian

263
00:12:19.360 --> 00:12:20.440
the Boys, It's got to be.

264
00:12:20.720 --> 00:12:22.799
It has to be, no doubt about it.

265
00:12:22.919 --> 00:12:25.200
And yeah, there were many many bands around that kind

266
00:12:25.240 --> 00:12:26.679
of time to pave the way. They were like the

267
00:12:26.840 --> 00:12:29.519
forefathers of what eventually creates it's heavy metal.

268
00:12:29.600 --> 00:12:31.919
But I think for me and most people.

269
00:12:31.879 --> 00:12:34.799
Black Sabbath set the style of theme, the ready kind

270
00:12:34.799 --> 00:12:37.360
of made it scary and.

271
00:12:37.320 --> 00:12:39.360
Spooky, and the deeper guitar.

272
00:12:41.000 --> 00:12:44.240
Yeah, because Tony Iomi pretty much he changed it, did

273
00:12:44.320 --> 00:12:47.080
what other people were doing, and that's that time he's

274
00:12:47.159 --> 00:12:48.960
been a bit of a dark I'm all sinister away

275
00:12:49.000 --> 00:12:51.440
and that's definitely like who knew that would create an

276
00:12:51.559 --> 00:12:55.600
entire you know, a genre of music that's spine.

277
00:12:55.919 --> 00:13:00.360
Blood stuck without Black Sabbath, No, no, and there's no

278
00:13:00.399 --> 00:13:02.240
bloodstock without Oga neither.

279
00:13:03.159 --> 00:13:03.559
Let's go.

280
00:13:04.679 --> 00:13:06.759
Thanks for being there on the Adventures by Man.

281
00:13:07.120 --> 00:13:10.159
Thanks so much, Thank you, Thank you man. Thanks jeez Mane.

282
00:13:10.440 --> 00:13:15.840
Michelle Kerr was my press officer for my entire fucking

283
00:13:16.279 --> 00:13:19.440
career here in the UK, my entire career.

284
00:13:19.120 --> 00:13:19.879
With Machine D.

285
00:13:22.639 --> 00:13:25.759
She recently passed away and it was a very very

286
00:13:25.799 --> 00:13:28.480
sad day and I can tell you the reason that

287
00:13:28.559 --> 00:13:32.399
I'm gonna tell this story is because she was family.

288
00:13:32.879 --> 00:13:37.399
She was Bloodstock family, she was heavy metal UK family.

289
00:13:39.519 --> 00:13:40.200
Most of the.

290
00:13:40.240 --> 00:13:43.799
Bears that you know and love you probably heard of

291
00:13:43.919 --> 00:13:50.320
because of that woman right there. Slive Knots, Slayer, Machinehead,

292
00:13:50.480 --> 00:13:51.759
Trivium Kills.

293
00:13:51.519 --> 00:13:57.799
Which engaged Hey Breed, you name it. She helped lift

294
00:13:57.919 --> 00:14:01.360
everybody up, man. She helped lift everybody up, and in

295
00:14:01.480 --> 00:14:05.720
so many ways, she helped make this entire music scene,

296
00:14:05.919 --> 00:14:10.240
this incredible, beautiful community that lives here at Bloodstock, Man,

297
00:14:10.440 --> 00:14:14.000
she helped make it. So, ladies and gentlemen, please make

298
00:14:14.039 --> 00:14:15.320
some noise from Michelle Kerr.

299
00:14:21.440 --> 00:14:26.240
Thank you for listening to the Adventures of Platemn on

300
00:14:26.919 --> 00:14:29.639
w for CUI Radio.
