0:46 Well, we found out that was a way good way to write a new album because it's like a connection to a live audience and to write music that is fitted for the live scene. Mostly. So yeah, why do I not combine to do what we love the most the mostly Yeah. Absolutely. And since you did it like kind of like you're doing from the marshpit, we should have done our interview in your marsh pit. Yeah you're moaning, welcome to join us at the show and do it in jew. I know I'm getting out there. I'm getting out in the march for doing the show. So I was just telling the story that, like I did, I was in a bring Me to Rizing marsh pit and I was filming it and I'm in the pit pitt in some of my sides. Wipe. Man, it was like a movie. My phone flew up in the air slow motion, landed on the ground and peoboard stepping on and I dove down and grabbed it and it recorded the whole thing.

You know our singer he was searching for new bandmates and actually by accident, he wrote to me, it was he was supposed to reach another Eric and it was an accident, but a happy accident.

Okay, So when my bro got married to a Swedish girl and it was in Uppsala and his brides parents were reindeer farmers. Now at the time, I was a vegetarian and my wife ate meat. So I decided to fuck with her because she's eating the meat. She had no clue, And you'll find out Americans are stupid when it comes to stuff like around the world. Because I'm like, is that meat good? She's like yeah, I'm like, you're eating Rudolph.

And of course I appealed to the dumb American and she's my ex so I can follow her that now. And she's like, there's no such thing as reindeer because Americans think that's. Just a saying yeah, you know. And I'm like, no, Ing's parents are reindeer farmers. We're about a half an hour from the North Pole right now. Like she even realized the North Pole was. Something in the movies, right right, it was. You had to see the look of horror on her face when she realized I was serious.

4:36 Did you become a vegetarian after that? No? No, But I think she tested every meat ahead of to ask somebody what it was beforehand. The graindeer meat is really good. Yeah I heard it's better than venison that. Yeah, but it's really lean and good. So yeah, it's nice. There you go, so like, hey, listen, of course it was good. Why would it not be good after you know it's Rudolph? Of course still good? Yeah, of course. I also love your country because I love hockey. Yeah, but I had I had a trippy experience. I never knew about Bondie. I knew about hockey, and I played hockey in Gothenburg on a Bondie field.

Yeah, because your perception once you go there is so much different than what you grow up with in your little sheltered like. Yeah, of course. Yeah, everybody should travel did not dependingbody every from me. You should travel the world and see things. It's amazing. Yeah, if you will find out there.

6:00 Yeah, and I'll tell you something else funny is that. So I'm originally from Jersey, so to get to New Jersey, American would call it Jersey Jerseys in UK. Yeah, but we have an Ikea at the Newark airport. Yeah. So we take off and we're landing in Sweden and I'm like, are we back in newer because right there, yeah exactly. I'm like, holy shit, but I knew I k was from Sweden, but it looked exactly the same. Yeah, it's the same concept of one why I'd say. Americans are obsessed with Ikea. I don't know if you know. It's good and cheap, so why not.

Everybody in the whole place, where's pink? Yeah? That suit does really well. Exactly Yeah, perfect match. Right, and there's a reason for it. So it's in dedication as Sophie Lancaster. I don't know if you know the story, but she was a goth girl and leaving a gig. I think it was in London. Some people jumped her and her boyfriend and beat her to death. Oh that's so sad. So Bloodstock always honors her on the Friday that everybody should wear pink and honor Sophie Land.

7:26 That's amazing. And there's even a stage to Sophie Lancaster stage cool. You could show up and play. The Sophie definitely. I'm putting out there to Vicki Hungerford, who who might bring you to. Bring us and we bring the pink. We promised the Pink Explosion. We will be there of course until now. What has been your favorite festival to play? I don't know what you I think. Like one of the highlights from last year was a grass pop yes, and also we played the Rot in Canada in Victoria Mill. That was really nice. Nice. And we also have always our home Home Home gig in Sweden Rocket's Sweden Rock Festival. It's always a blast.

8:07 Do you have anything else? I know? Over Oak We played that the last year. It was amazing too. It was we were so surprised about so many people. It was so wild, you know, flying in people over the place and fire and everything is I love it. We love it. So I asked that too, because like I do festivals all over the US, UK and Europe, I've never done one in Sweden. So tell me what it's liked for a festival in Sweden. Well, it's the crowd are a little bit more common Sweden, but they can get rowdy as well, but they turn up like like for Sweden Rockets, it's like a community. People have been going there for thirty years straight and they bring the kids and everything, so it's really it's fair family feeling. You always feel welcome and it's yeah, you get like fifty sixty year old big man come up to you and just hug you for no reason.

8:59 So it's just a loving festival to be at. So you know why I love hearing that because there's a bad stereotype about Swedish people that they're not that way, that they're very reserved, and yeah. That's kind of true. But if you come to a rock festival, people are really hard warming nice and yeah. I think I think it's more about once they get to know you goods. I go to the Netherlands a lot, and I've lived there like for months at a time, and people think the Dutch are very cold. They're only that way because they don't know you. Once they get to know you, they're like super sweet and nice. And Swedes get better when we get a couple of drinks in it. I was good. Yeah, yeah, we need those two three things. Then I'm gonna be a best friend for life.

9:40 Yeah, because when I was at that wedding, I made a bunch of friends at the wedding. Yeah, but it was after they have to party. Yeah, right, exactly, that's when we turn up there. You go, is there anything else you got going on after download that you want to tell the listeners about. Well, we do a couple of shows and not a festival. It's over to some We have a support tour in October November, and then we have a co headline with a Spanish band called Anchor that we're going to do in November December. That's going to be amazing through Europe. So we have a full full fall and winter. So that's promotion for the new album One of Us. Yes, that was the last time I go over that.

10:21 I stole you a line. I love the name of that album. How would you say that album differs from anything you've done in the past. Well, like before, we try to be really perfect with everything, like find the perfect sound, the perfect production for everything. Now we more made it like the imperfect is the perfect and letting stuff going like no, it's gonna sound like this. It's more of a live wive you know on the drums. It's more you know, live feeling of everything, not that digital. But so it's more, Yeah, it's a lot of inspiration from the live scene went into this. So it's a very much Yoh, it's it's written to to to connect with the audience.

11:05 And yeah, and we started off there and I think that's so cool because same with doing radio or podcasts, like I always tell people, don't edit the ship to death. People want real Just let it stay in there, man, you. Know, bring everything. People love it. And it's like we have In the end of one of the songs called the Wedding, Eric's wife is actually in the studio and she starts talking at the end of the recording, so we kept it at the track. So if you listen at the end of the Wedding, you can hear them bickering with each other, like why are we talking in. That's so funny because I was gonna say what she you know, mad at you for something. Yeah, now he tells her to shut up because you're talking on it on the fucking recording. Oh, that's fucking that's that's one of the things. Just keep it in.
