1:26 I was asking before, like, so when the lights are shining down on you, you can't see shit on stage? Can you? No, if it hits you right, it just like totally blows it out, so or if it's too dark and it's just gone so you're left to your ninja senses at that point. Yeah, it's not the end of the world, but it's it's definitely you know what's going on. Right, it's the thing. But you know there might be a good part about that, you know, like they say, stage fright, you have to imagine people in their underwear. I think this is better just not seeing them. I really, yeah, I'll get stage fry man. I love looking out and seeing people vibing. Man, you know, I don't get yeah, I love hearing. The stage fry man.

2:07 It's like these people they're just like just like when we're standing in the crowd vibeing to somebody else, you know, Like that's the way I see it. I love it because, you know, I look at bands and you can tell there's some like you that look at the crowd and literally look at you. And then there's others because I'm a speaker too, and I can tell the tricks they're doing. They're not even looking at the people, but it looks like they are, you know, And to me, I think it's better the way you do it because you are connecting with the crowd. And that's why you had this huge meet and greet here. Like we walked up and I'm like, holy shit, look at this line. Pretty pretty well. Today. We had our friend justin come up to us and tell us our line was too long, Like you guys. Need to scoot it along, let's go right, all right. But one thing, we were over there commenting about how friendly you guys are with the fans and like just even them walking up to meet and greet. It's like you're meeting old friends, you know. And I think that's so cool because it's not a lot of artists, you know, vibe like that.

3:03 It's just like Joe said, I mean, we were fans of music for a long time. We still are, but it's like now we're on stage. Yeah, and to speak about the like stage fright thing. I look over and see him. I've shared the stage with. Him for forever, so I don't feel anything beloved. See. I love that, yeah, absolutely, because there are a lot of ours. Like my old engineer he passed away, but he he would perform like five nights a week when he wasn't working at the station and we were like best friends. So we used to have to go to the bar up the street and pregame before he went to the club and played, because as great as he was, he had stage right until he had that false courage in his body. And I think a lot of ours.

3:48 Are like that, right, yeah, I think so you can get stuck in that pattern. I've been there before a little bit, like where you're on tour and you're drinking and then you got to drink again to get yourself going again because you were drinking. But I think we keep I personally, keep it a little more chill nowadays, just like a little bit more responsibility on just like really playing a good show, you know what I mean. But and yeah, you know, I. Guess maybe you have a couple of drinks if you're you know, if you're kind of tired that day, wake yourself up a little bit. But uh, I know people need to do that. But I don't know. I've definitely we used to drink, like back in the day, like even in our older bands and stuff. I mean, we were dude, we were drinking for sure, right. It was never like a stage fright thing, no, And like we're like we're best friends. Like I see my friends, they pull me out of any bad situation I've ever been in correat and then we get to go on stage and do what we love.

4:36 So that's so important of anything. When I'm up there, it feels really good. It's so important to be like best friends too, because like you're on the road together, you're together all the time. If you aren't best friends, you're going. To kill each other. It's true. Man, Yeah, you got to have respect for yourself and for each other when you're out there, and you have to, you know, just be considerate. And you know, we can recognize each other if someone's not feeling good or something. But yeah, dude, like we're just we love this stuff. We were lifers, were people that have been doing this love and music since we were little. And I feel like, you know, when they're not, you know, when they're not best friends on stage, they're like, oh, you told each other, and it's like you. Can't you can see it. You can't put that vibe out there, you. Know, or don't do it. It makes it cool.

5:16 I feel like, you know, a lot of the bands is like we grew up watching like you know, like the corn home videos and they just seem like they were best friends, homies, and like, you know, whoever it would be like three eleven, you know some of those bands, like you'd be watching their home videos or whoever it is. And that was something I always wanted, was just to be like, you know, stupid fun with my friends. And like that's why, you know, because we could all be like solo artists or something, but that's no fun, you know, you want to do it with people. That's what life is about, is creating and sharing with other human beings that you that you're you know, that you. Love totally and like some of it's part of the business is not fun. So if you're not having fun up on stage or making music together, wrong business. That's the fun part, you know. So what else you got going on? Twenty twenty five?

6:01 Now, new singles coming out, Nicer coming out. We just signed to UNFD, which is our new label. We're really excited about that. We have a new manager, we got new everything. We just feel really good. Yeah, so you're good. We got to take coming up with a butnch of babies Attila and dealer Nathan James is coming up in March for like a month, a month and a half something like that, and then a bunch more stuff after that. But that's all we got an ounce so far. Yeah, I heard about the tour from Heidi earlier and it's like and Henry and man, that's. A good tour, Yes, slamming. It's gonna be a heavy tour. Oh my god, that's gonna be amazing. And so how do you feel playing on ship rock compared to like playing a festival or one of your own tours or whatever.

6:43 Playing is is not as as a drummer, Like it's not as easy to play on a boat that's moving in the water. But yeah, I mean the the shows are tight. I mean the people are really passionate about the music, so it's fun to play this intimate kind of performance for those people. I think it's it's a cool environment. Like I was saying it either today or last night whatever I said, Like, it just it just dawns on me that we're on a giant boat in the ocean and we're playing like a metal show and there's you know, like how wild that is to be alive at this time in the world in history. This is the time we get to be alive and do this and it's just really insane, like to think about it and like if you really like stop to really believe, like realize that it's absolutely insane.

7:25 And then just the love that the that the people here have for us has been incredible ever since the first year we were on here, like so much love. It was just so good. Just I don't know, it just feels it feels like a festival when you're outside. I mean it did, it does. But like the fan that's on Shipbrocks is like you really have to go above and beyond to be on Shipbrock, to be in this area, to be in this environment, save your money, say do all this stuff. It's like it's just the next level type of fans. So it's really cool to connect. With those people. What I find cool too because watching going around watching is like I have festival. You know. Sometimes people are gonna like, you know, follow you around and they want to just want that and like sometimes you want to have a little peace and you know. But then I watch people on ship Rock and they're just like walking by like hey, and just keep walking, which is like a dream sometimes so an artist, because they're just being cool and now you're willing to talk to them and hang out with them exactly.

8:21 Yeah, like yeah, like people are are like respectful of it. And then yeah, then you end up becoming cooler with them because they don't push any extra stuff. On you, and you you know what I mean. It just makes for a bad environment. Yeah, absolutely, like that. That's one of the things that everybody mentions, like artists and people alike, you know, because even people are aware of other. People, we call them punishers or whatever. You're not a punisher. Come up the second time today that came. Yeah, people are all a different thing. But yeah, and like you know, and you're not trying to like hate on somebody, but yeah, like there's a point where you're, like you you kind of overstep your bundy. Even like when I'm meeting somebody that I'm like trying to be like, you know, I'll just but you know, I'll be like, yo, what up, thank you, respect your stuff blah blah blah, quick whatever it is. And then if they're organic, if you just talked, then great, you know what I mean. But yeah, I think people are really good about I don't know, I want to call it respecting your boundaries.

9:06 But they're just cool. It like just being chill, you know, And that's what it is. You gotta be chill with people and let it organically happen. And people are great with that here and somebody put it to me this way, which makes a lot of sense. It's like I have festival. They feel that's their only chance they see you, and it's like, that's my only chance. But on the ship they know, like you're you're on here. You're stuck on here with them, so they're gonna see you again. Yeah, And as a musician, you have to remember it that you're like changing someone's life. Yes, you have the power to do that. You should do the right thing with it. Yeah, absolutely, great point, Just do the right thing. Be cool. Man. Well somebody did that for me when I was eight years old or ten years old, So it's like you have that power now, like do the right. Thing and to stay that way. Because there were a lot of bands I hung out with when I was a teenager that they were way cool until they got a little ego and they're anymore.

9:55 No exactly, let's let's stick around, yeah, because I don't know, I just don't think a lot of people understand the power that you have. And it's like that you see the look on someone's face there, like you changed their life. Yeah, you made them happier today. Their life is better now. That's amazing. So you did that. Yeah, that's the amazing part of being an artist, isn't it one of them? Oh, one of the best. Yeah. And So if you were pit and to pick a favorite story of all your times being on ship Rocked, what would it be? Hmmm hm. I was just talking that we were asked asked this earlier. I was just saying, like for me, it's kind of like the first time we were on it and like we didn't you know, you're kind of like running around like a starry odd kid. You know.

10:43 It's like talk about the first time you get to be a part of this, you know. And a lot of bands that we liked, and this is when we were first coming out, Like this was like we had been a band in the public for like maybe a year. Everything just kind of went quickly for us at that time. And to just be around all these cool bands that we have like listened to, Like I was saying, like he is Legend or p the Pod Guys or the Beartooth guys, and like I remember the first show we did was in that that smaller venue down there, and it. Just packed out. Everybody came and I said, like like Kalb from Beartooth like just jumped on stage. It was like just doing their song with us. We mean, I mean that has to be my favorite memory too. Yeah, that's it was just like that first moment. Yeah, and I remember that he is legends guys were around the peod you guys, like everybody was just kicking it and we just felt like that good, like accepted in a camaraderie and now we're just you know, obviously just friends with other people. And then we now when there's newer bands that come on, I try to almost do the same thing and like bring them in and be like yo, cool because now we're kind of like a little bit on the.

11:38 Because not every band will do that for sure, and we're talking about the fans before. But the impression you make on young musicians to like accept them into your circle, right, I think that makes. A huge. So I have a special surprise for you because I brought something on ship Rock because it's eighties theme. I've never brought to a festival. I've think warrant since I'm sixteen, and that it's gonna be hard for you to see with them contacts. But it's my battle vest from the eighties. I drew everything on there. On the front, you'll see the patches ripped up from the pit. There's blood on there for me knocking out my teeth diving off a Marshall stack.

12:23 Wow, look at that. The Metallica patch on the back is before they had an album, Like a bunch of the bands were comming. I don't remember a logo like that with Satan and stuff, and then they didn't even have a Slayer patch then. So I did this. I put the these velvet letters on and I was in LA and people thought it was a gang banger and that was my gang name, cool Man. So looking at that, if you were to pick one band on that vest that you would want to tour with, who would it be? I would love to tour with Metallicas. That's been the number one answer.

13:03 I mean, they're they're like still cool guys. You know, it's like what you aspire to be if you ever got to that, you know that that spot. You know, they're just still really cool. They say, what's up to all their fans, like they've always been like an inspiration to me when it comes to that. I love that. And you know what else was cool? Everybody gave Laurens a lot of hate for you know, LimeWire or naps that Lime aren't Lapster, and he was fucking right. He was man. I've seen those shirts. Laws was right, I've seen this. He was man. The songs wouldn't sound the way they do without him drumming. So you have to understand that just because you're not, like, you know. The top of your class, doesn't he's the sound exactly, like that's the Metallica sound.

13:47 I've never been drawn to complete technicality in music. Ever, it's all about heart. It's all about the way that it sounds. You can just feel the person playing like I've always been more like, if it's simple, I don't care, you know, like it's just you just got to feel it, you know, because there's dudes that can just wail and wail and whale and that's really cool and it's respectable, of course, But whatsever connected with my heart has has always been how you play and yeah, and exactly. It's about the vibe. Man, it's about the whatever. And he's also got like a sense of humor about it, which I think is awesome. Absolutely, Yeah, they seem to be continued to be really cool, really cool guys, and that's again, like we talk about, like it makes you just love them so much more and it makes you want to be that type of band exactly. No doubt. And if it weren't for them, who knows where we would be. I was at their first show ever and there were like twenty five of us that used to go see them all the time. And then when they start getting a little bit er like fuck them poosers, blah blah blah. But you know what, if it weren't for them, if it weren't for them, where would be bands like you or anybody else on that this ship be because there was nothing like it before them, right, So absolutely.

14:51 And get at the top and still be the nicest guys is what the inspiration comes from. That's definitely that's where it comes that's for sure.
