Are you also from Jigsaw Youth or are you from or are you from Silly Goose? No, I don't know. She's from We're from Silly Youth, right, exactly. See that you guys should do a code tour and call it the Silly Youth Tour. We just did a code tour, but I mean. Did you call it that bad behavior? It was unofficially called the Silly Youth Tour. Exactly. There you go and look at you. You You got a lot of color since last time here on this cruise. Hopefully it's a good time. That has to stay on ship rocked and nobody ever knows.

1:43 About I want to come back, right, this is the dream. So what was it like being on ship rocked. I mean, like, that's pretty bad ass. Yeah, it was definitely the greatest hume of our lives. I didn't really know exactly what to expect, but we had so much fun at the other festivals, so it was that on a boat and we just ate maybe eighteen times a day, right, And it was just awesome doing it with Silly Goose too, because we were on tour with them, So we just hung out with our friends all day every day. And then you know, today's show at the beach was like a bucketless moment that. Was epic and I almost cause you to miss your snart. All good, I made it. I made it on time. Right, we're talking then all inside you, Oh shit, I gotta go.

2:27 Yeah, but it was a beautiful day, Like it really couldn't have won any smoother or any better. Let me tell you what I was doing during your set. I was headbanging and washing on a paddle board during your set. Amazing. Yeah right, yeah, because. You're not allowed to mash, even though I have, but I'll wait edit that out because I wasn't supposed to. And actually one of my photographer she's like, oh you are so itching Tomash. And here's your chance. Yeah, it was. It was just awesome. People were throwing down for sure. No doubt. What would you say is your favorite moment of ship rocked? And maybe the two of you have different favorite moments today.

3:09 Honestly, today like this scene and just the friendship surrounding it and the weather, like we we had such an amazing group with us this trip, so it really couldn't have went any better. Today was probably like one of the honestly one of the best days, like all my life. Yeah, yeah, oh, I love hearing that. And then even just like after playing, like we all went in the beach water We're just hanging out catching waves. It was awesome and we were all just just kind of like looking at each other in the water and we were like we made it like we just all really love each other a lot. So it was just a day of like just gratefulness and everything. Yeah. You know what's really cool is as somebody that was there when Silly Goose first invaded a Danny Wimmer festival and I saw them. I was at in the parking lot when they did that, and I watched Dan women come up and watch them. So to go from that and then I saw you guys and then now you guys together on ship rocked.

4:08 Yep, it was badass. I wonder if they knew that we were friends are doing the run together, because like we were the only two bands scheduled for the beach, so I was curious they knew about the package or if they saw like camaraderie beforehand, because the scheduling like kind of got released after we had already started the tour. So I was just curious. But it seems like people on the boat were really into the package because even like outside their cabins they had like little dry erase boards and they were like siligos and jigs so you like sign this, So it seems like a like a cool little thing that people were watching and we're a part of.

4:49 It. Was definitely badass for sure, and you blew me away because I was shocked at the first I wasn't shocked the second time, but the first time I was shocked at silly Goosett. I'm like, and you came out and sang and I was like, oh shit, and you're singing was freaking badass for that song as a killer song, it's. A great song. Yeah, they we like literally the camaraderie was so amazing that like we were just kind of all jumping into each other's sets and people were really digging it. So what I think is cool too, is Okay, all these festivals and kind of blows my mind because when I was a teenager in the eighties, that wouldn't happen. But they're all like old people playing and then you guys are like the only like really young, hungry exactly.

5:37 And it's like I've always told Jackson, it's like, man, you were like total old school punk because that's the way it always was, and it's the same for you guys, you know, and it's it's cool because we do need youth in this punk metal world because what happens when the Metallica is and the rest of them go away, because they're going to you know, we need bands like you to keep it alive and keep it growing. We were definitely the underdogs, like against all odds, like type of bands on this bill. In my opinion, I don't think we are like any of the other bands.

6:17 We are definitely still very like just more i don't know, like punk and not as like we don't have a lot of production. You know what I mean. Yeah, like we're very just like out there. This is what we got. It's like the punk shows you would go to in the beginning of punk, you know, not like now like just doing it. I don't conserve punk nowadays. Okay, but you guys are definitely from that old school era, the era of bands like the Germs and like Sex Pistols and Exploit Discharge GBH. You know, just the epitome of what punk and metal should be.

6:58 That's where our roots are. So what's it like in Staten Island for you guys? You know, like, how's the following? You know a lot of iconic clubs that you have played at don't even exist anymore. Yeah, there's really not much going on out there for us right now. If we're going to play home, we usually try to play like Brooklyn or I don't know, if we haven't played Staten Island in like quite a while. The like community or the rock scene, we don't really like fit in or identify with it as much, but you know, we definitely have like supporters out there, so like, you know, we'll probably talk about doing something at home as like a kickoff or something if we want to we've been a little tapped out of what's going on at home. But yeah, I mean I feel like cycles also change with music scenes, and there's like probably a whole new community of like younger artists that we might not even know of, and like the people that we knew like don't really play anymore. So we kind of notice that people at home don't really want to take things like super professional or like really like try to bite into the industry.

8:02 Which surprises me. It's New York. Well, I don't think people know what it takes, and I think it's like a really long road and you have to like not be in it for the money, and like you know, March is gonna be ten years for us, so something that like you have to basically know that you're meant for that and there's nothing else in the world for you and you can't have any other things come in your way, and like that mentality. I mean, it's like it's in every city, like not everyone is down to like basically be broke and just you know, like to do this shit. It's not tourings, not for everybody. It's not as glamorous as everyone thinks it is. But when you're on ship rock back. This is definitely the most glamorous for sure. Oh yeah, I'm not as glamorous as. It, especially when you're in a dating game a guy says I won't date somebody from New York.

8:47 Oh my god? Was that can? Was that not the most horrible weird game? Like ever? Oh my god? I felt so bad for you. When I saw who was walking up there, I was like, how. We were like, there's no way I'm gonna be thrown to the wolves, right, Like, there's no way that they're not gonna like regulate the bullshit that goes on. And then like that happened. I couldn't even like pull material from the room because of how like weird it was. Not only was it weird, but as also somebody from the Northeast. It's like, man, these dudes were stupid, so stupid. And so like just they weren't having fun, They weren't having fun with it. They were just I don't And then like some of the staff was like this.

9:30 Is fine because I didn't even know they wouldn't get that New York. With I either wouldn't even know what to say that. God Cookie was there. I interviewed him early I. Felt like he left me to the fucking sharks. I was like, damn, I thought he was gonna chime in a little more. But yeah, I mean he did what he could. He tried, but then you figured him out so he had to remove himself. Oh my god, god, I was like, this is he was? How a baud is it when cookie's the best choice? No, seriously, I was like, staying there and help me out. Yeah, that was This is fucking weird. But aside from that, it was a really great great a lot of froze and a lot of fun, and it's just been really. Awesome so quickly, because you got to do a meet and greet, tell everybody how they can reach out to you.
