Yeah, like Christine's been talking to me about doing it for years, and like finally I decided, Yeah, it's a good idea.

1:30 And now I don't know why I didn't do it all these years, because it is way cool. It's so much fun, right, Yeah. What's the most fun you've had so far? Oh, that's a good question. I think last night around one two in the morning. At the Piano Ball the Piano Bar. I was there two nights ago, which made me return, and an interview I did yesterday, I had a video that I got to embarrass one of the artist That's amazing because we talked about it. He said, I don't even remember I was super drunk. Well let me show you what I here. Let me tell you. And it was the guitarist of the Struts. Oh my god, and he sang staying Alive and he tried to sound like Gibb and he said, I sound like Mickey Mouse. But I thought he was amazing.

2:23 That's what it's about. It's just fun. Like those piano piano bars like are so much fun. I don't care who you are. Yeah, that have to be my favorite moment so far. No doubt. Absolutely. And I think the whole crowd was more into stuff than any set. That's so true. You know, it's like they're all singing and at the top of their lung. It was amazing, Like it was definitely worth staying up all night for. Yeah, I agree. Today was a little rough in the morning because I wanted to wake up early to get to the beach. But and I did wake up early to go to the beach and I'm paddle boarding, and it was a little hurtful after like getting the bed at like I don't know, three or four or something like that, waking up at six.

3:04 Yeah, but you know, we can sleep and we're back hole. That's the way I said, Like, that's how I am. I'm like, okay, I can sleep tomorrow exactly. Also, your hair is very eighties. Heck, like the last time we talked, he had blue hair, eye blue hair, and you have the eighties theme going on. And I did like the new wave thing, which I couldn't do in the eighties, like like a thrash metal head and that you couldn't like new wave. So I decided, you know what, no blue, no normal, just I'll do the like flock of seagull shit. I love it, right, Yeah. You gotta play it up. And that's the certain thing. 3:44 That's been so fun to see too. I think my favorite night was the wrestling night theme. And almost everybody seemed to be macho man. Yeah, there's a lot of much. There are a lot of speedos, right, a lot of Latex. And Prom Night. Prom Night was so funny. You know. I was talking to Jesse yesterday, I'm like, and his wife, I'm like, you guys would have won, but you guy give it to the kid. Oh my god. That was so amazing because originally there was rumor that king Don was going to be King of the prom you know, from Hollywood Undead, because I don't know if you watched Family Feud. Did you watch Family Feud?

4:27 Not too much? No, no, not the show, but here on the ship oh here no. Oh it was the funniest most and so it was Parkway Drive against Hollywood Undead. Hollywood Undead killed him and it was because of king They purposely got king Don like so drunk before strategy. Yeah. So he he's like the king of the ship now, Like it's pretty in fact, while it's talking to them and they're like, yeah, somehow they don't know anything about us. Now he's like king in the ship, you know. And then and then it's funny because like the first set, in first sets, the first set of Parkway Drive, Linson was talking about the whole thing a family food because he was bombed that he lost, you know. Yeah, it was a hard loss and then Hollywood Undead was cracking on them. So it was pretty funny the rivalry even during their sets.

5:26 I love that. It was like so funny. The only real rivalry I've had is with Cookie. That's the funniest ever. Man, Oh my god, he's so funny. We did we hosted the guest that Groove event. Yeah, and next thing I know, we're doing a dance off in front of all these people and I'm doing the worm on the ground And like, I didn't think I was gonna. Come out here and do the worm. But that's what ship Rock does to you, I know, right, you come out of your shell. And everybody can just do whatever and nobody cares. No one cares. I love it. You know. It's a great thing where everybody can just be themselves or just be freaky as they want, just for the fun of it. Yeah, and no one cares.

6:10 I'm really bummed that I missed out on quests. I was about to say, speaking. Of many stories about quests. I heard stories which made me hesitate. Yeah, And so I stood outside that I was watching, and when I saw that line, I was like, oh my freaking god. But then I was watching from the outside. The first thing I saw was some dude on his knees in front of Cookie. Oh, and I'm like, yeah, I don't want to have to volunteer for that. Yeah. If I ever do ship Rocked again, which I really hope I do, I'm never missing a quest. I will have to check it out next time. Because I did find out that only if you volunteer to be on a team. I was worried about, like, I don't want to be picked no, because I heard some serious mm hmm, like just to be blunt, buttthole and vagina.

7:03 Oh yes, oh yeah, it was all out in the open apparently. Yeah. And like some of the things you have to go for, it's like, oh my, but people came prepared. Yeah. Stuff you scavenger hunt for is like a condom some woman with blue bra and like, people are prepared. That's incredible, you know. Yeah, oh my god. So yeah, ship Rocked and your sets you were amazing. Thank you. Okay, how do you feel as an artist performing on a ship opposed to performing on a stationary stage on land. So the first show I had in the flunch was rough for me because I had the worstea sickness.

7:48 Oh, It got me so much that it's hard to just sit and have but to perform because I couldn't tell I saw you. I couldn't tell you seasickness. Well, I started feeling it right before the set, and then ing the set, I completely forgot all about it because. I was so into this you're in the zone. I was in the zone. I was having so much fun with everyone in at the show. And then the second I got off, I went outside and I puked my brains out for I. Know that feeling too, because it's like when you're in the middle of it. Because I also do like my e facial speaking, it's like the minute you get on stage, whether I do it for radio or speaking like, you're very nervous before you get on stage, no matter how long you've been doing that. People don't realize that. But the minute that Mike turns on, there's a switch. Oh yeah, No matter how I'm feeling, I don't know. And then when I'm done, I give myself permission to be sick.

8:44 If I'm sick, that's exactly what happens, right, you know. Yeah, So that one was The show itself was really fun. Everything before and after was rough. Being on a boat the deck show, I didn't feel it because we were outside. I had the fresh you know, the fresh air. It was really hot and humid. But thankfully I do a lot of hot yoga, so I was. Prepared for that. See, there you go. And your hair was already prepared for that, cause oh yeah, you already. I have the humidity hair going on being in the eighties thing. Oh my gosh, my hair has taken on a whole life of its own on this boat. Did you use aquain that though? Because I haven't had to use anything. This is really pure humidity. Wow. Yeah, I know how that feels. I used to have long hair and man, and ain't time I was in Florida because I live in Florida now, never down, always in point tail because it would be out to hear.

So I have a new album coming out, Yes it's done, and I've released two singles so far during nineteen eighty seven and offer the Glo and I'm Dying for the rest of the stuff to come out because it's also in that eighties vibe. Nice. I can't wait, and I just want to be able to play it on tour, hopefully all over the globe. That's the goal. You should, Yeah, let's do that. I'm so down to do.

10:18 So what made you go with like an eighties theme even to your music. Well, it's funny because when I first started, I was already pretty eighties because that's just the kind of rock music I've always gravitated towards. Like I just I love pap. Enatar, I love jon Jet, I love Blondie, I love Stevie Nicks her eighties stuff. And my first music that I put out had that eighties flare. And then I got signed and the music kind of went more of like a almost early two thousands rock sound. And then I had the freedom again to make whatever music I wanted, and I decided I want to go back to the music that I first fell in love with, which was the eighties style.

11:02 See I love hearing that because like I got out of music when I was a teenager at the Sunset Strip and I was backstage watching these bands get record labels, telling them how to dress, how to make the music and just like totally change them. And I was like, screw that. I'm not posing out on music and selling out, you know, might be a stupid move, but you know you're a teenager and you're stupid anyway. And so I love hearing what you just said because you are doing what you want, you know, opposed to a record label. Yeah, I see. I understand business because I'm a business person, but in music, the artists should have creative control, not the people that are not creatives.

11:59 I absolutely And the first album I did it was very much like got to play the game thing. I was eighteen years old. I was super young, and my whole mindset was I just want to do a really good job, and I want to make everyone around me really happy, and I want to be the perfect artist, and I don't want to cause any problems. And at the end of the day. The cards are going to fall how they fall, so you might as well make the music you really want to make. Well, see what I love about That is my adult attitude after that teenage stupid attitude was, well, you do have to play the game to get to a point where you can do exactly what you want to do, Yeah, otherwise you'll never be able to do that.

12:41 Yeah. So like perfect example, Metallica, I used. I went to their first shows in LA in the very beginning, and then I remember when the Black album came out, Me and our friends that were all Metallica, like the core fans were like fuck them, posers, sellouts, blah blah blah. But yet they did that album and without that album, we wouldn't have Metallica today. So they were able to go back to doing what they want to do. Yeah, sometimes you do have to pay that price, you know. Yeah, you see that with so many artists. You're right, you know, because otherwise where especially back then, like if you didn't play the game with the record labels, you weren't going anywhere. It's not like today where artists can do it on TikTok.

13:28 Yeah, like independent artists have so much more I guess leeway. Yeah, with success and opportunity. Yeah, you know, because like okay, perfect example is everybody talks about the negatives of today of the music industry, but that's the positive. The positive is anybody has the ability to become an artist, very true. So you got to take the good with the bad. I guess yeah, and just navigate where it's going. There you go. So, if you were to give one story, good or bad, crazy or not crazy in this whole musical journey, what would it. Be Ooh, good or bad? That's a good question.

14:12 Someone actually asked me today on the way to the beach, what's really great advice you got from a fellow artist or someone in another band. And two years ago, I was on tour opening for a shine Doown and it was a big arena tour, and I, again I really wanted to do a great job. And halfway through the tour I got really sick and everyone was getting sick. But I knew my voice was not great. But I went up on stage that night anyway, and halfway through the set, it just completely cuts out, like I'm opening my mouth, nothing's coming out. Nightmare. It was. It felt like I was in a living nightmare, right and I had to cut the set short.

14:56 It was horrible. I'm back in the green room. I'm like crying because it's I don't I hate letting people down, especially fans. And Brent from Shinedown knocks on the green room and he comes in and he gave me this incredible. Pep talk about how we vocalists can be so hard on ourselves because we want to deliver every time, we want to be the best, and that this instrument that we have is so precious, Yes, and we have to take really good care of it, and sometimes it's out of our control. And so he really helped me that night and made me feel better about the situation. And I'll never forget how kind he was. That is so cool to hear because sometimes it could be like that, sometimes it could be a different way.

15:39 So I love when I hear artists are higher up the ladder. Yeah, are going to help the younger artists because that's the only way we're going to keep music around. Yeah. And it's also for me to hear him say like I go through the same thing. It's really powerful. And it is so true. You have to take care of your voice, Like there's so many examples of it. You take, like Ali from Bring Me to Horizon. He changed the way sang because they told him you keep singing like that, you're gonna be done. Yeah, and so scary. You know. I experienced it too, because I like sang thrash metal as a teenager, but I didn't know how to do it because I didn't teach the growl and the screaming. Like now, like I look at Courtney from Spirit Buss, Oh yeah, and I'm always amazement when I watch her mouth when she screams, like she has such technique and control. I'm like, yeah, wow, But me, I blew out my throat because I was not I wasn't trained, and nobody did anything, you know, and like, so, yeah, you're gonna have those moments, but if you don't take care of your voice, you're not gonna have any more moments.

There was a debate on board the ship and maybe even everywhere of how to pronounce your name. Oh I believe it. And you've probably heard. It every possible iteration. Well, what was put to me? Is it diamante or diamante?
